How to capture video from DV, convert DV video to AVI/MP4/MP4/FLV?

Recently, I came across a software tool that helped me out. Here, I'd like to show you how to convert video captured from DV camcorder to standard video so as to play the video on PC, TV, mobile players such as iPod, iPhone, Zune, PSP and even upload the video to share online (YouTube). The software you will need is: Clone2Go DVD Ripper, with which you can Rip DVD to video/audio, Convert video to video/audio (AVI, WMV, ASF, 3GP, RM, RMVB, FLV, MKV, AVS, etc), Download YouTube/Google videos, Capture video from DV camcorder. Let's take a look at how it performs: Step 1. Download the latest version of Clone2Go DVD Ripper ( free download ). Install and run it. Step 2. Click the "File" menu item. In the drop‐down list, click "Capture Video from DV..." to start capturing videos from your DV.

Note: Make sure your DV camcorder is connected to your PC. Otherwise, there will be a pop‐up dialog of "DV camcorder not connected". Besides, you need to check that your DV camcorder is powered on and set to VCR mode. An IEEE 1394 Firewire Card is required to connect your DV camcorder with your PC to capture video. Step 3. In the pop‐up dialog of "Capture Video From DV", you can preview the video and trim the video (click the "Start Capture" and "Stop Capture" buttons). Click "OK" and video will be captured.

Step 4. Back to Clone2Go DVD Ripper, you will find the video you captured just now. From the "Profile" drop‐down list, choose the most appropriate output format you need.
