Bloggers Abuzz with iPhone 3.0 iPhone has touted it as the next generation of the world's most advanced operating system. On March 17, Apple gave the world a preview of the iPhone 3.0 OS. The new OS promises to bring 100 new features to iPhones worldwide, including the ability to search or "spotlight" the whole phone; cut, copy and paste functions, even between apps. You can also send photos, contacts, audio files and location via multimedia messaging; and read and compose SMS and e-mail in landscape orientation. And that is just the official ones. Unsurprisingly, various blogs and tech journals have come out with their own versions of what features would be included in the new 100 list. Some are unimaginative, while others say that the new iPhone 3.0 would enable you to use your iPhone to predict when the Second Coming would take place. Some like Engadget, however, provides not just speculations but also what they have actually seen at the March 17 preview. And these blogs and journals are by far the most practical, if not accurate. And so it seems that the iPhone 3.0 would feature a virtual keyboard for notes and text messages in landscape mode. It will also now have an undo feature, new multiplayer games, and maps embedding. The iPhone 3.0 also shows that Apple has been working closely with Google, first with the better rendering of its Google Maps on the iPhone, as well as extended developer support. YouTube also gets account integration with 3.0, allowing you to enter your login credentials for you to access your subscriptions and playlists. In the meantime, Apple is getting great marketing via the various bloggers who simultaneously and ferociously blog about the new software’s features, along with wish lists, while salivating over the iPhone 3.0’s potential features. iPhone 3.0 is getting talked about months before it is scheduled to come out. The look and features, however, largely stays the same. It seems that we are stuck with the same menus, the same interface. Just little tweaks here and there, making the whole thing more intuitive and easy to use. I think Apple is doing great by not fixing what is not broken in the first place. But as it is, these new features are welcome addition. But, as the rest of the blogging sphere keep themselves busy speculating about the 3.0's new features, I am getting increasingly disappointed. It seems that they have forgotten to let us call a phone number from our calendar appointments... AGAIN. Article Provided by: www.TheFinestWriter.com
