WASHINGTON--(EON: Enhanced Online News)--Carr Workplaces, a provider of flexible alternative workplace
solutions nationwide, will open its newest business center in downtown San Francisco at Four Embarcadero Center
in the first quarter of 2011. The 21,000 sq. ft. space on the 14th floor of the 45-story building will be Carr
Workplaces’ first location in Northern California and its 26th in the U.S. Carr’s center will cater to independent
professionals, entrepreneurs, and rapidly evolving growth enterprises seeking the prestige of officing in one of San
Francisco’s most sought after business addresses.

Spanning five city blocks in the heart of San Francisco, Four Embarcadero Center is considered the flagship building
of the four office towers of Embarcadero Center surrounding one of the most significant mixed-use properties in the
Western United States. Adjacent to the Ferry Terminal with a BART station at the Hyatt on Market Street, Four
Embarcadero is also one of the most transportation-accessible buildings in San Francisco. The Carr Workplaces
business center at Four Embarcadero Center will include 70 offices and team rooms with sweeping views of San
Francisco Bay, three conference rooms equipped with state of the art AV equipment, and the Company’s signature
Community Café space for dining, collaborating, and recharging. In addition, the center will feature dedicated
touchdown space for clients of Carr Workplaces’ popular virtual office programs, providing occasional office space
for road warriors and home-based workers.

With a unique history, Embarcadero Center offers a prime commercial district located in more than three million
square feet of office and retail space. Embarcadero Center is comprised of four office towers, and three
interconnected shopping levels within four towers operated by Boston Properties.

Carr Workplaces provides fully equipped, furnished, staffed and technology-enabled office environments on highly
flexible terms for professionals and small businesses. Growth enterprises and independent professionals utilize the
company’s “offices on demand” model to forego both the costly fixed investment in workplace infrastructure and the
inflexibility of long term lease obligations.

“We are delighted to be the exclusive business center operator in Boston Properties’ Four Embarcadero Center,
one of the finest office buildings in the United States. With our entry into the San Francisco market we are creating a
premier business center to meet the highest standards of Northern California professionals,” said Joe Wallace, chief
executive officer of Carr Workplaces. “We believe in creating uplifting spaces where the exchange of ideas is a vital
part of the experience. Great work environments are inspiring, and we hope to give small businesses and
independent professionals in San Francisco just such a place. We believe our model represents an intelligent and
improved way for small businesses to work.”

By using Carr Workplaces, businesses can access the office space market in a highly efficient manner and can
constantly tailor their offices to meet their rapidly changing circumstances, allowing them to add space and shed
space as frequently as they require.

“We help our clients stay focused on their business because we take care of the administrative and logistical matters
that typically can be extraordinarily time consuming,” said Wallace. “Companies appreciate that they can walk into
our office and get right to work.”

Phil Carr, Senior Vice President for Development at Carr Workplaces, represented Carr in the lease negotiations.
Boston Properties was represented by Rod Diehl, Senior Vice President Leasing.
