   1. Alhaji Abubakar Mainasara Mu azu
He was born on August 22nd 1979. He is from Sokoto State and holds a BSc in Botany
and Certificate in Computer Studies. He is a classroom teacher and now he works in
Community Centre for Development, a Community based CSO whose activities have had
high impact on education and social development projects in Sokoto. He is the Program

2. Aminu Hassan Gamawa
He is from Bauchi State. He was born on September 9th 1979.He holds a Diploma in
Sharia and Civil law, a B.L (Second Class Upper) from the College of Legal Studies,
Maiduguri. He went to Nigerian Law School and has a certificate in Dispute Resolution,
from the University of Massachusetts, Boston. Aminu is associated with the Women’s
Rights Advancement Protection Alternative (WRAPA) and supports several women’s
NGOs programs in the area of reproductive rights.

3. Alhaji Abubakar Attahiru was born in Adamawa State on 1st January 1978. He has a
postgraduate diploma in Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights, from International
Health Center Karolin’s Institute Stockholm. He has coordinated the activities of Ku
Saurara listener Clod and YSO for KS111, the radio program healthy behavior among
young people in Kaduna North, coordinated and nurtured the formation of groups,
providing computational research support on RH and participate actively in providing
training and support in the area of Reproductive Health.

4. Alhaji Awwal N. Imam
He was born on May 1st 1979 in Kaduna State. He had primary and tertiary education in
Lagos and Kaduna. He is community activist who has worked in various capacities in
gender, human and social development programs in Northern Nigeria

5. Alhaji Hassan Aliyu Karofi
He was born on 31st December 1971. He is a journalist who works with Media Trust
Limited and is currently the regional coordinator with his office located at 30c Abdullah
Mai Adua House Fagge, Kano. He has a BA Mass Communication, and is currently
reading for the MA Mass Communications from Bayero University. He also holds a
Certificate in Computer Appreciation. He has written several articles and covered major
stories on reproductive health in Northern Nigeria.

6. Hajiya Maryam Ali Ali was born in Kano on 15th August 1970. She is a lecturer in
Saadatu Rimi College of Education. She has a Higher Islamic Studies Grade 11

7. Maryam Ama Buba
Hajiya Maryam Ama Buba is from Nassarawa State and was born on 2nd November
1954. She is a nurse/midwife and was trained in School of Midwifery Jos 1972 -1976.
She worked as staff nurse/midwife in General hospital Jengre, Anakwano hospital Jos, as
a clinical instructor of school of Midwifery Jos, as Midwife Tutor School of Midwifery,
Jos JUTH, as vice principal School of Midwifery, Vom Plateau State, Principal School of
Midwifery, Vom, Plateau State, Chief Midwife Tutor, MOH Lafia, Assist Director
Nursing State Ministry OF Health, Lafia. She attended University of Jos for her B.Sc
Public Administration, University College Hospital Ibadan DNE, and University of Jos

8. Alhaji Ishaq Muhammad Nasir
He was born in Gombe State on 17thAugust 1970. He works in Community
Empowerment Development Association (CEDA). He is a registered Nurse in Bauchi
State. He has a Bachelor of Science Child Health Nursing from Royal College of
Education and a Masters degree in Psychology (in view) from the Commonwealth Open
University. He also has information Technology by American Peace Corps in Gambia,
acquired leadership training with the British Council, Abuja and is also a member of the
National Association of Nigeria Nurse and midwives.

She was born on July 27th 1984 and an indigene of Kano State. She has a Diploma in

10. Alh.Sadiq Mohammed Rabiu
He was born on 1st may 1974 in Okene of Kogi state. He is a holder of B.Eng
(metallurgical) from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. Alhaji Sadiq is currently working
with Ummah Support Initiative of Nigeria at the Supreme Council of Islamic affairs as

11. Hajiya Sa adatu Muhammed
She was born on April 16th 1972, she works in the News Agency of Nigeria near Borno
Council. She has an advanced diploma in mass communication and a diploma in

12. Auwal Muhammad Tahir
He is an indigene of Kano State, he was born on 23rd July 1975. Auwal studied Sociology
and Economics from Bayero University, Kano (1999) and Post Graduate Diploma
Education in English from Federal Collage of Education, Kano (2006). He is currently
working with Adolescent Health and Information Project (AHIP) Kano as a Program

13. Hallima Abdullahi
She was born on May 5th 1961 from Borno State and she obtained a certificate in Nursing
and Midwife. She has 26 years working experience in both Government and in the NGO
sector. She is currently a chief Nursing Officer and member of Women in DA’AWAH
WAL-IRSHAD and Indimi Mosque Committee Women Session.

14. Largema Bukar
He is an indigene of Borno State and he was born on 16th January 1966. He completed his
Nursing School in Maiduguri and holder of Master Degree in Health Planning &
Management, and B.Sc Public Admin. He practiced Nursing between 1983- 1987 and
was a Health Planning officer in 2002, where he later worked with the NGO Borno
Coalition for democracy and Progress (BOCODEP) as Director of the Health section. He

15. Mrs Lydia Shehu Gar
She was born on 10th November 1960 in Alkalare of Bauchi State. She is a holder of
Master Degree and B.Sc Sociology from University of Maiduguri. Mrs. Lydia is
currently a Director in the Ministry of Women Affairs of Bauchi State Government, she
worked in different departments with different responsibility regarding women and
children in the public sector in her civil service career. She is also a member of several

16. Ms Talatu Aliyu
She was born on 30th April 1976 in Jaba of Kaduna State. Talatu is a trained and
experienced mediator working with Interfaith Mediation Centre as Program Officer. She

17. Hajia Aisha Ibrahim
She is an indigene of Kaduna State born on 26th November 1973. She has both
Government and NGO working experiences. She worked as a nurse in government
hospitals and she is currently a Director with Support Health and Education for
Development (SHED) in Kaduna State. She is a holder HND in Public Health, a
Professional Nurse and midwife. She is currently working as a Senior Zonal Health
Officer Northwest in Nigeria. She worked with communities in the area of Girl child

19. Umar Farouk Mohammed
He is an indigene of Kebbi State but has his working career in Kaduna State, and he was
born on November 17, 1968. Farouk holds a Higher National Diploma in Production
Engineering from Polytechnic Kebbi and attended several trainings including an overseas
training from German Institute for Foreign Cultural Relation, Stuttgart, 2007. He has
strong NGO work experience, he has been worked with organizations in different
capacities and currently, he is the Senior Program Manager/Admin Officer with Interfaith

20. Uwani Yunusa
She is an indigene of Gumel from Jigawa State, she was born in 1960.Uwani is a trained
teacher with National Certificate in Education (NCE), she practiced her career at primary
and post primary school for almost 15 years. She also has NGO experience and Member
of many CSOs and Associations, she is a Secretary of Gumel Emirate Women
Development Association, Chairperson- Better life Programme for Rural Women,

22. Arzika Abubakar
He was born in Gusua of Zamfara State on 1st June 1978. He is a trained Senior
Community Health Extension Worker and a holder of HND in Environmental Health
(2005) from School of Hygiene Kano. Arzika has both Government and NGO working
experiences, as he worked as officer in charge of Kasharuwa/Abarma Clinic in Gusau and
Peer Educator on creating awareness on HIV/AIDS for YOSPIS, a Kano based NGO for

23. Lami Sumayya Murtala
She is an indigene of Kano State, and she was born on 4th May 1963 at Kofar Mata. She
got her NCE from Kano state Collage of Education (2004) and is currently working with
Freedom Radio as a producer. During her work at freedom radio, she produced a Health
Programmes called Sabon Shafi, In Baku (discussions on matrimonial affairs) and
Ba’amakaraba (health program on HIV/AIDS). She has acquired the status of a famous

24. Zainab N Mohammed
She was born in Kano State on 15th November 1981. She is a graduate of Biochemistry
from University of Maiduguri (2004) and currently working with a youth focused NGO,
YEHDI as a program officer. Zainab is also a focal person NGO for the National
Education Network, CSACEFA, in Kano State and attended various workshops such as
Advocacy Skills Development on HIV/AIDS.

27. Balarabe Hassan Wurno
He was born on 5th March 1964 in Sokoto State. Balarabe obtained a Diploma and
Certificate in Community Development & Adult Education from Kaduna Polytechnic
(1988). He has almost 20 years working experience in both Government and NGO, and
currently he is a Senior Programme Officer with Education Empowerment Initiative in

28. Abdullahi Zakari
