Currently the committee is seeking to recruit presenters for this event, which is expected to attract over 150 delegates from throughout New Brunswick and Atlantic Canada. The deadline for submissions is Thursday, January 31, 2008. This year’s conference theme is “Take it Outdoors!” Presentations related to recreation, special events, outdoor recreation and physical activity, trails, programming and planning, arts and culture and adventure recreation are being sought. CPRA has recently funded the Alberta Recreation and Parks Association (ARPA), Association québécoise du loisir municipal (AQLM), N.W.T. Recreation and Parks Association (NWTRPA), Parks and Recreation Ontario (PRO), Prince Edward Island Recreation & Facilities Association (PEIRFA), Recreation New Brunswick (RNB), Recreation Nova Scotia (RNS), Recreation and Parks Association of the Yukon (RPAY), and Saskatchewan Parks and Recreation Association (SPRA) to participate in a oneyear demonstration site. The demonstration site project objective is to develop and implement strategies to build and/or enhance organizational capacity to support member efforts in removing barriers to recreation for lowincome families.
