Did you know that you can have this done for FREE? Our goal is to have every member complete their fitness evaluation and get started on the right direction. You will meet with one of our professional staff to have a series of tests completed and then an exercise prescription will be given based on what you enjoy doing, your current fitness level, and any medical conditions. Our staff will and show you how to use the exercise machines; setting your seat number, reps, and weight for you. We want to make sure you are properly set up and if you have any limitations or injuries we can adjust your workouts. Schedule your appointment today at the front desk!
With the kids back in school and the end of summer in sight it can become all too easy to begin cutting back on your amount of physical activity. We have had some great successes over the past eight weeks and learned a lot about how to keep exercise fun, but maintaining those gains can often be challenging. That's why it is so important to encourage your family members to incorporate activity into their day. Time spent at home does not mean that you have to be a "couch potato". Remember that as a parent you serve as the role model for your children. Creating an active household will not only improve your family's health but will also provide you with quality time together. Here are a few ideas on how to keep your family active: ·Turn off the TV - The average child spends 8.5 hours daily in front of a computer or TV. Instead of joining your kids in front of the television set limits on how long they can watch and suggest active alternatives. Try taking a family walk or run in the evenings before the TV is even turned on. ·Be active – Join in a group exercise class (now offering over 100 classes), walk the track, or take a swim. Use your time at the Fitness Forum Sports & Wellness to spend with your kids and enjoy a family bonding time. Have fun!
