Course Objectives:
The major objectives of the course is to provide the students with a solid
conceptual background in electromagnetism; starting from electrostatics and
ending with RL-electrical circuits. The course is intended also to contribute to the
development of the problem solving skills, and to lay the foundations for further
studies in physical sciences and engineering.

Final examination
* SP: problems that will be solved in the class. However, all the problems at the
end of the chapters are included in the course. Try to solve as many problems as
possible.
Grading: Midtem 1 (22.5 %), Midterm 2 (22.5%), Lab (15 %), Final (35 %),
attendance (5 %)

Lab work:
Laboratory sessions will start on Monday 23-02-2009. The lab schedule is given
in the enclosed sheet.
Laboratory work is an essential part of the course. Students must do ALL the
experiments. Any student whose total grade in the lab is less than 50 will not
pass the course. Repeating students who have a previous lab grade ≥ 50 and
completed all the experiments may not take the lab, but they must get in touch
with the course instructors to fill the necessary form.
