Which are the sources of learning
for the trainees in the class?
SOURCES OF LEARNING
Could it be that our learning environments
"traditional" recognize these sources?
Let´s see a UNIVERSAL EXAMPLE

A new revolution in the SENA:
TRANSFORMATION OF OUR
LEARNING ENVIRONMENTS
To recognize at least 4 sources:
(Equally important and relevant)

Transformation of the learning model
There are 4 sources of learning

The Four Sources of Learning
• Instructor: In a new role as facilitator, as tutor. This is not the
most important source nor the exclusive source.
• Team Work: Capacity of trainees to find collective solutions to
the challenges that are imposed in the learning process.
• Enviorement: Bring to the moment of learning what happens
outside the classroom: Projects, Case, real‐world situations.
• ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) as a
superhighway connecting trainees and instructors with the world,
in real time.

Connectivity Proyect
• Payment for use: 90 million dollars in 3 years.
• Coverage throughout Domestic: 178 own
headquarters, 200 mobile classrooms, 400 points
teleworking, 200 Personal Access (PDAs).
• It pays for the use, not ownership of the
technology.

LESSONS LEARNED
(for discussion)
• Technology is FOR USE, not to possess.
• While instructors learn to use, there can be a shortcut
to direct apprentices (example: Virtual Training).
• Digital stigma exclusion.
• The computer labs do not guarantee the use of
technology.
•Should ICT training be compulsory for all curricula? Is it a
subject matter?
