After attending this program participants will be able to:
1. Compare the pharmacokinetic characteristics of human and analog insulins.
2. Describe the limitations of using Human Regular, and NPH insulin to successfully mimic the body’s normal
physiologic insulin action.
3. Discuss the role of basal insulin and recognize its appropriate use and dosing in treating diabetes based on case
4. Evaluate strategies for the design, management, and maintenance of physiologic insulin treatment programs for
people with diabetes.
