					                 A bouquet of music for Mom

  Mother’s Day is a holiday honouring mothers, celebrated on various days in many places around the
world. Moms often receive gifts on this day.
  On May 5,7 pm at Rendezvous Restaurant in Mississauga (3085 Hurontario St.) Josie de Leon, Rico
Callao and Neil Huab will bring together a show dedicated to mothers — “Dear Mom.”
  A personal tradition Josie de Leon is committed to, Josie has been staging shows honouring mothers for
several years now. Josie has recently been asked to front act for the APO Hiking Society in their most
recent gig in Toronto.
  Produced by Studio Six, “Dear Mom” will also feature Rico Callao. It is no coincidence that Rico was
also front act for the APO Experience Concert. Rico is a talented musician who not only croons but also
plays the bass guitar and whose first passion is the violin. Rico grew up in a musically talented family from
Negros. Very much at home on stage through his rich experience with the Opera Chorus of the Philippines,
Rico was one of the finalists in 1983 in the very popular Bagong Kampeon, hosted by Ms. Pilita Corrales.
  Neil Huab, keyboardist for “Dear Mom” is an accomplished musician. A guitarist, pianist, performer,
Neil in the recent past did front act or intermission numbers for Gary Valenciano, Ray-An Fuentes, Louie
Reyes, The Tux, among others. Neil formed a number of music groups and bands, more notable of which is
the Cantana Band which did the 90’s music lounge circuit in Manila performing at Rembrandt Hotel and
Strumms,local Philippine TV shows such as SOP, Today with Kris, Ms. D, Late night with Johnny, Kwarta
o Kahon). A songwriter as well, Neil’s original obra “Magpakailanman” was included in a Filipino movie
  “Dear Mom” will bring to the public a collection of well-loved songs arranged, sung and played
distinctively by Josie, Rico and Neil. Young and upcoming talents Jirah Callao and Anna David will be
front acts for the show.
