REGULAR MEETING APRIL 15, 2008 The President of the Brooklyn City School District Board of Education called the Regular Meeting of the Board of Education to order in Room 173 of the High School, 9200 Biddulph Road, Brooklyn, Ohio on Tuesday, April 15, 2008 at 6:30 p.m. Members Present: Mr. Kit Krause, Mr. Roy Thiel, Mr. Tim Luzier, Mr. Rocky Neale, Mr. James Oper Members Absent: None Student Achievement: Middle School Student Council RESOLUTION NO. 08-04-194 MINUTES – BOARD OF EDUCATION MEETING – APPROVE Moved by Mr. Neale, Seconded by Mr. Oper RESOLVED that the minutes of the following Board of Education Meeting be adopted and all action taken by the Board of Education at said meeting is hereby reaffirmed and approved: REGULAR MEETING – March 18, 2008 Ayes: Krause, Thiel, Luzier, Neale, Oper Nays: None MOTION CARRIED 4/15/08 RESOLUTION NO. 08-04-195 Moved by Mr. Krause, Seconded by Mr. Neale FINANCIAL STATEMENTS – APPROVE RESOLVED that the Brooklyn City School District Board of Education hereby approves the Financial Statements of Receipts and Expenditures for the month of March 2008, including all warrants paid within said month, as submitted. Ayes: Krause, Thiel, Luzier, Neale, Oper Nays: None MOTION CARRIED RESOLUTION NO. 08-04-196 AGREEMENT WITH CUYAHOGA COUNTY BOARD OF HEALTH – APPROVE Moved by Mr. Oper, Seconded by Mr. Luzier RESOLVED that the Brooklyn City School District Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent to enter into a contractual agreement for school health services with the Cuyahoga County Board of Health for the 2008/2009 school year. TUITION FEES (PER WEEK) Full Time (4 or 5 days per week) - $17.50 3-day week - $12.50 P.M. TUITION FEES (PER WEEK) Full Time (4 or 5 days per week) - $35 3-day week - $25 Registration fee is $15.00 Ayes: Krause, Thiel, Luzier, Neale, Oper Nays: None MOTION CARRIED 4/15/08 RESOLUTION NO. 08-04-200 NEW FEES FOR PRESCHOOL – APPROVE Moved by Mr. Neale, Seconded by Mr. Oper RESOLVED that the Brooklyn City School District hereby establishes the following fees for the KATS preschool program beginning with the 2008/2009 school year: $90.00 per month per child due on the first of the month starting in September continuing through May or $800.00 payable the first of September or two payments of $400.00 due the first of September and January. $15.00 non-refundable registration fee.
