“BOOKS BILDER” 2008
INTERNATIONAL ART COMPETICION 2nd edition Town council of ARADEO(LE) ITALY Cultural Association “VERBAMANENT-Presidio del libro” of Sannicola (LE) Italy announces the 2nd International art competition “Books Bilder” 2008. The competition, which is going to be hold every year is supported by Region Puglia, province of Lecce, town council of Aradeo. Provincial library of Lecce.
REGULATION
Article 1
The prize is reserved to artists coming from all countries that must to be older than 18 year. The participation is free.
Article 2
Each artist can participate to the prize with one handmade art book. The subject is free. The handmade art book can be made of every kind of material and can have free shape and free technique. The art book have to be up to cm 40 x 50 (closed), thickness no more than cm50, weight no more than kg 1,50 and shouldn’t have been award a prize to any other art competition. Every handmade art book must be signed by the artist.
Article 3
For each handmade art book must be attached the application form (you can find it on the website www.verbamanent.net). Furthermore you have to attached - A CD-ROM with high resolution picture of your art book necessary to the on line art catalogue - A word file with your: name, surname, title of your artwork, technique, year, dimensions, price and a short note about the work.
Article 4
The staff of the organization VERBAMANENT will be very careful about each art work they will receive. Anyway they will not be responsable about any kind of damage or stealing to the artwork. Consequently the association suggest each artist to insured their artwork.
Article 5
The jury will value all the handmade artbook in order to - originality - experimental use or traditional use of the material - Quality of the technique used - Meaning
Article 6
The opinion of the jury is not subject to appeal.
Article 7
All the artworks must be sent by October, 24th 2008 at this address: Associazione culturale VerbaManent - Presidio Del libro C/o Maddalena Castagnaro Via Martin Luther King,7 73017-Sannicola(LE) ITALY All the artwork won’t be gave back before the decision of the jury. All the attachments of the artwork (CD-ROM,FILE) won’t be gave back
Article 8
The artist can decide to donate the handmade artwork at Verbamanent associaton that will collect them in the PERMANENT ANDMADE ART BOOK COLLECTION in Palazzo Grassi of Aradeo All the handmade art book gave to the association will take part to all the art exhibition the association will organize.
Article 9
All the artists that would like to have their art works back have to: 1 Request them at Verbamanent Association in the application form 2 Attach the receipt of the payment of 15.oo Euro on the c/c postal n.83571398, at the name of Enrico Rapinese-Sannicola(LE). In case the cost of the delivery will be more expensive than 15,oo Euro the association will charge to the artist the difference. Verbamanent Association won’t give back the art work to the artist before having the receipt that attest the done payment.
Article 10
The Prize Ceremony will be on 30th November in Palazzo Grassi, via della Costituzione,29Aradeo(LE).
Article 11
PRIZE 1° Prize - 500 Euro 2° Prize – 300 Euro 3° Prize – 200 Euro The art work that will win the first prize will became the logo of the prize “Books Bilding 2009”
Article 12
All the prize should be collect from the artist, or from people that the artist will delegate ( in that case they’ll need an document wrote from the artist that will attest the delegation). If this announce won’t be respect the artist will lose his prize.
Article 13
Will be done an on line art catalogue with the picture of all the handmade art books that will participate to the prize.
Article 14
All the artists that will participate to the prize have to accept every single articles of the present regulation. Date and place can be modify.
