The unfolding drama shows how families move beyond fighting the disease, and how lives must be restarted, redefined and reclaimed. Issues range broadly from a child’s need to get back on track after months of missed school to a mother’s need to create meaning out of her child’s ordeal and a family’s need to reconnect with each other. A LION IN THE HOUSE goes inside the drama of individual and family survival and powerfully portrays the wisdom of children who have faced death. LIVESTRONG SurvivorCare provides information, education, counseling services and referrals to other resources. NCCS is the oldest survivor-led cancer advocacy organization in the country and a highly respected authentic voice at the federal level, advocating for quality cancer care for all Americans and empowering cancer survivors. A non-profit organization committed to improving the quality of life for Latino children with cancer and their families. It is the only Latino organization that focuses on pediatric oncology and operates throughout the U.S. to provide educational resources and emotional support for pediatric cancer patients and their families from ay racial or ethnic background. SuperSibs The mission is to honor, support and recognize brothers and sisters of children with cancer.
