PremierCrete
Design-Build Company specializing in concrete architectural products
Serving the home building and construction industries

Founded company and acquired assets of a building materials manufacturer specializing in architectural and
structural concrete products. As CEO, created the entire infrastructure, including hiring talent and
implementing all procedures for manufacturing, engineering, marketing, sales and financial controls.

Significant achievements at PremierCrete included:
       Revenue grew from zero to over $6 million.
       Achieved National Precast Concrete Association plant quality certification.
       Invented and brought to market a new brick product for the housing industry, achieving a successful
        acceptance from homebuilders. Provided revenue of over $ 1million first year of production.
       Built new plant with all manufacturing and quality controls, increasing capacity 10 fold.
       Partnered with military vendor and introduced courtyard wall used at “Middle East” simulated cities
        training facilities in the U.S., Hawaii and Japan military bases. Shipped product to Japan and Hawaii.
       Developed operational metrics whereby cost variance of cents could be measured and identified for
        improvements, as well as production efficiencies and financial performance by product. Reduced
        manufacturing cost by 30% as a direct result of controls.
       Authored all Standard Operating Procedures to control every aspect of production & quality.
       Developed mold-making capability saving from purchasing over $250,000 on capital equipment.



2000 to 2002          President and CEO

SMITEL Communications
A spinoff of Superior Magnetics focused in the telecom
fiber optic deployment and wireless applications

Created engineering company to serve the telecommunications industry assisting carriers and providers deploy
their next generation fiber optical networks. SMITEL’s expertise was concentrated on providing engineering,
certified installation and testing services for these companies, in addition to the OEM’s. This division
completed:
       Deployment and installation of equipment to over 50 Optical Amplifiers and 7 Point of Presence
        (POP) sites covering over 1,000 miles of fiber optic infrastructure from Texas to Virginia.
       Did early work on wireless application platform using small foot print device (similar to the netbook of
        today) for teacher/student interactive classroom teaching application.
     Negotiated manufacturing contract with V-Tech for small footprint “wireless learning device”.
Division was dissolved upon completion of major contract.

Superior Magnetics
Formerly division of Texas Instruments
Specializing in design and manufacturing of power supplies

Managed 80+ people design and manufacturer of electronic transformers/power supplies for the Defense, Space
and Aerospace industries, including communications platforms.

   Led acquisition team in 1992 to acquire this division from Texas Instruments.
   Successfully diversified the company’s revenue base from a one-customer company (TI) to over 35 active
    customers. Customer list includes Boeing, Rockwell, Raytheon, among others.
   Built sales, marketing, engineering, financial and administrative functions. Significantly improved the
    Company’s technology and manufacturing infrastructure.
   Invested significant amounts of capital in technology and people, improving information systems, financial,
    design and manufacturing systems to support customer and revenue growth.
   Completed patent for a “flat” power supply used in the F-22 avionics computer system.
   Under my leadership achieved ISO 9001, Boeing’s D1-9000 and NASA certification.
   Negotiated and executed JV agreements with leading sub-contract manufacturer in Mexico and Canada.
   Achieved national recognition as leader in the compact power supply system.
Company was sold to competitor at the end of 2001.

   Managed acquisition team and subsequently negotiated and completed acquisition.
   Implemented information systems for financial and manufacturing controls.

   Organized a network of over 20 manufacturer representatives to promote the company products.

After the sale of Domac Plastics, pursued participation in various ventures as investor and consultant.
Participated in various mergers & acquisitions and implementation of management information systems.
Spearheaded and funded development of specialized simulation software to aid planning of maxillofacial surgery
procedures jointly with UT Medical School. Provided consulting services to Oil & Gas customers for reserve
evaluation and investment advise.
