The Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) is the largest research organization of the US Army Corps of Engineers. As the first engineering organization established by the Federal g g g g y government, the latter has had the authority over river works in the United States since 1812. In the current fiscal year ERDC will execute 58 million USD (42 million euro) directly funded coastal, hydraulic, and environmental research. This is supplemented by a robust reimbursable R&D portfolio.
