Facilitated discussion following each film led by Laura Marks who is studying for her doctorate in English, with a minor in Women's and Gender Studies. All About Eve (1950) directed by Joseph Mankiewicz Saturday March 21 7pm Garnering 14 Oscar nominations, and winning 6, including Best Picture, All About Eve is a tale of ambition and betrayal in the world of theater. In spite of the title, this film is really all about Bette Davis who plays an aging yet still-popular leading lady who takes on a protégé in young, sweet Eve Harrington. As the narrative progresses, however, things gradually begin to look a little less sweet. Famous for its witty dialogue, a very early appearance from a young Marilyn Monroe, and a gloriously acidic performance from Davis, All About Eve is a classic. $7 Ongoing Programs Gentle Yoga Mondays and Thursdays 5:30-6:45pm End your day in a relaxing way.
