Description / Overview
As we all know the oil economy crisis is not going to come it is
already here, according studies, in the near future the oil production
will decline. So it is important to find new ways to supply energy and
the electricity that we need.
In this course we will have the opportunity to learn about the
Renewable energies and how they can play an important and
permanent role for the environment and against the climate change.
This course will deal with the issues of alternative energy sources and
sustainable energy sources. The intent is to perform an objective cost-
benefit analysis on each form of alternative energy in order to
determine what is practical on a large scale, as well as on the scale of
the individual homeowner.
We will focus more on solar energy and photovoltaics for the local
community of farsa.
As the sun is the inexhaustible source of energy which we are now
increasingly able to use more efficiently. With the new materials and
the technological progress we hope that the solar energy will be in the
future one of the most important fonts.
We will learn how to project photovoltaic systems according our
needs and how we can apply this form of energy for the community of
Farsa.
With a total research of the enormous possibilities that photovoltaics
offer we will be able to find and project important and clear solutions
For Farsa that respect the environment.

Grades
Grades for the course will be based on few questions about the course,
worth 50 points.
Also students will develop a final project consisting a strategic plan for
Farsa based on a PV system, worth 50 points.
