Mr. Snellman from Finland
Snellman is a Finnish family company whose roots are in the small coastal town of Pietar-
saari in the region of Ostrobothnia. Business operations began as early as 1951. Since then
it has become Finland’s third largest meat production company. Today company opera-
tions comprise not only meat processing but also ready-made meals.
Present-day consumers are constantly longing for more
healthy meat products and ready-made meals. Mr. Snell-
man brand represents a success story in the marketing of
high meat and low-fat meat products. Everything is done
on the principle of good taste without loss of quality. The
manufacturing of every Mr. Snellman product is thus a
pleasure to taste.
Maatilan Parhaat (The Farmhouse Best) is an ISO 9001 cer-
tified quality chain from producer to consumer. Every stage of
the production chain is monitored and documented. Documen-
tation covers, for instance, animal health checks, regular veterinary
checks of the production environment, animal feedstuffs and feeding,
and animal transportation and meat handling in modern and hygi-
enic conditions. Mr. Snellman has implemented and maintained
this purely Finnish raw material chain steadfastly and faithfully.
Company personnel have received specific training in the con-
text of meat products and the company motto remains ”good
food for the good of people”.

Snellman meat processing is a comprehensive operation chain which begins on the farm
and ends in the shops which sell high quality Mr. Snellman products. These products are
manufactured from pure Finnish pork and beef. The guarantee of Finnish meat as a raw

Snellman produces fresh ready-made meals for retail sales in Finland and Sweden. Snell-
man has been specializing in premium quality food. Ready-made meals are new arrivals

Mr. Snellman has always ensured that cut meats are full of flavour. Trends in taste are
changing all the time and that is why the product range has become so diversified over
the years. Whole meat products such as ham, roast beef and also garlic, mushroom and
cut tongue meat constitute the traditional source of income. In addition, the mouth-wa-
tering salami range now includes tasty and fashionable types of light salami and various
spicy cold cut meats. Mr. Snellman was the first to promote varieties of wafer-thin cold cut
meat in marketing strategies.

Low-lactose Mr. Snellman triangular-shaped sandwiches serve as handy lunchtime sna-
cks for you to take home or for the children. The sandwiches are sealed in air-tight packa-
ging and stay fresh for several days. Gourmet kebab hamburgers and filled burritos are
ideal for bigger appetites, entertaining or even dinner parties. All burgers and burritos are
