Orleans Little League Baseball Program
OLLB operates a complete Little League baseball program for young people ages 5 through 19. Our divisions are similar to those operated by Little League organizations around the world, and include the following age groupings (age as of April 30th, 2009): T-Ball: 5 - 6 years Coach Pitch: 7 - 8 years Minor: 9 - 10 years Major: 11 - 12 years Junior: 13 - 14 years Senior: 15 - 16 years Big League: 17 – 19 years *19 year olds cannot pitch Challenger: All ages The Challenger Division is for boys and girls ages 5 to 18+ that are unable to play regular Little League baseball due to physical and/or mental challenges. No matter what the challenge, all are welcome. Games are played once a week. Registration is ongoing throughout the season and also takes place at the field before the first game. The first game will be announced on our website, www.orleanslittleleague.info after the long weekend in May.
Our Instructional Season Program
The Instructional Season program will begin late April -May 2009. Teams are organized in mid-April under the guidance of the OLLB Player Agent, Conveners and the Directors of each division who attempt to balance strengths and weaknesses. New and returning players are evaluated in mid-April. If noticeable imbalances exist, these people may make further adjustments during the first two weeks in May. The usual schedule for Instructional Season teams will see each team play two games per week during the evening (5:45 p.m. for teams up to age 12) and practice (applies to Minor, Major, Junior, Senior) once on the weekend. All games and practices take place on diamonds within the Orleans Little League Baseball area. Junior and Senior may interlock with other organizations within the city, which means they can play throughout the city. The Instructional Season from T-Ball through to Major also includes an end of season tournament held in June.
Our Competitive Season Program (applies to Minor, Major, Junior, Senior and Big League)
Once the Instructional Season ends, OLLB encourages all players, who have played 60% of their instructional season games and who are interested in trying out for the competitive teams, to do so. Tryouts are held to give everyone the opportunity to demonstrate their skills to the Competitive Team Managers. Competitive Managers are appointed by the Board of Directors based on recommendations made by a selection committee. The decision is based on the applicants' previous baseball managing experience, their knowledge of the game, and their ability to work with youngsters at the age level for which they have applied. The Competitive schedule begins in June and continues until late August or the beginning of September.

Start time @ 7:30pm. Meeting will be held at 255 Centrum Blvd Registrations after this date will be subject to availability and a $20.00 late registration fee will be added to regular fees.
