Please request our free plasma guide at www.plasmascreens.co.uk for full information on choosing plasma screens for business and education.
Wedgwood do not supply plasma screens to home users. A summary of plasma terms is given below:

Pixels - The dots that make up an image. The more pixels, the better the quality and detail of the image shown.

Computer resolution - The non-widescreen computer resolution (pixels) that the screen will display clearly. VGA = 640x480, SVGA=800x600,
XGA=1024x768.

Contrast ratio - Plasma pixels produce light so displaying the colour black is difficult as it comes out as a dark grey. The higher the contrast ratio figure
the better the projected black. Please be warned that different manufacturers measure this in different ways so this can be misleading.

Brightness - Measured in candelas.

Class - This is to do with the shielding within plasma screens for electromagnetic radiation. Class A plasma screens are for commercial use. Class B
screens have extra sheilding and are designed with home use in mind as people sit in front of them for several hours each evening.

Aspect ratio - This is just techie speak for the image shape. A widescreen image is called 16:9 and a normal computer monitor or TV image is 4:3.

Speakers included - Many business plasma screens do not include speakers as they are designed for computer use. Side speakers are an optional
extra on these screens and can cost hundreds in addition to the cost of the screen. You may prefer to use other speaker systems such as surround
sound amplifiers and speakers.

HD ready - Whether a plasma screen can display High Definition TV and video images. To be HD ready a plasma needs to be widescreen (16:9), have
at least 720 lines and have either a DVI or HDMI port for connection to HD devices such as Sky HD digital satellite receiver boxes.

Additional information - "plasma screens" are designed for business computer use and do not include a TV tuner to receive TV signals and Teletext.
"plasma tv's" include a TV tuner. "plasma screens" do not usually come with either speakers, a wall mount or a desktop stand. These are optional
extras at additional cost.

All prices are subject to our standard terms and conditions and may change without prior notice.
UK delivery charge £50+VAT on all plasma screens due to weight. Stands and mount brackets at extra cost. All prices are excluding VAT. E. & O.E.
