TBS, a.s. Stará Turá is an agricultural and trading company which arose from the merger of three
enterprises in May 1998, but in fact the company dates from 1992 (contemporary TBS shareholders
were active in these three trading companies from 1992 and in May 1998 consolidated them into one).
The company farms an acreage of 461ha, of which 331ha is verified land in the cadastral area of
Podkylava and Moravské Lieskové. All the land is of permanent grassland divided in a fenced pasture
system, the average acreage of one pasture being approx. 50ha, with continuous production of hay
and sillage for winter time to a volume of cca 1.7 tons per 1ha, feed balance is positive.

new lifestyle and new awareness of food. The company is located in Rudník, in the beautiful Moravské
Kopanice region. We grow, buy, process and distribute organic foodstuffs of vegetable origin. We farm
an acreage of 160ha. We grow herbs, several types of grain, and buckwheat, we also have 19ha of
apple orchard. We produce more than 40 of our own products (wholemeal flours, wholemeal pasta,
herbal and fruit teas). We distribute these to Slovak market via our own wholesale outlet. We extend
our range of products with organic foodstuffs imported from the Czech Republic. Nowadays we are the
largest processor of organic produce in Slovakia.
