The Monte Verde Inn is a six bedroom Georgian style manor house built in 1936 by a wealthy retired sea captain as his family residence. Nestled between the Middle and North Forks of the American River, at an elevation of 2,200 feet in the heart of the Sierra foothills, the Inn is surrounded by over six acres of gardens, lawns and forests of conifers and madrone. We are exactly 9.5 scenic miles off Interstate 80 and 45 minutes from Sacramento. The colorful history of the homesite dates back to 1853 and the California Gold Rush centered in Foresthill. While specializing in weddings, the Inn’s warm hospitality, spacious rooms and excellent cuisine are perfect for weekday corporate seminars, small retreats, family reunions and other special occasions. The Inn is newly repainted and refurbished with hardwood floors and oriental carpets. Flowering plum trees line the entrance driveway and several new gardens have been added. The Inn can accommodate 225 seated guests outdoors or up to 90 seated guests indoors. At the Monte Verde Inn we strive to help you through all the details in planning your event. Our goal is to provide everything necessary to allow you and your guests to thoroughly enjoy a memorable occasion in an atmosphere of warmth, hospitality and country elegance. We are a private facility and we only do one event a day so you can start when you want to and you have our complete, undivided attention. We provide the private site which includes, linens, equipment, all necessary service staff, elaborate buffet or plated meals, non-alcoholic beverages, floral arrangements, wedding cake and wedding coordination all for one per person price. There are no “extra” charges like site fees, cake cutting fees, set-up fees, brake-down fees, insurance fees, bartender fees, etc. However, we do have minimums on total (before tax) expenditures on certain days and times of the year. At The Monte Verde Inn we take pride in our fresh, skillfully prepared food. All items are prepared in our kitchen with fresh, quality seasonal ingredients, including herbs and flowers from our gardens. Our menu strives to be innovative while at the same time appealing to the tastes of each guest. The Dalisa’s have over twenty-five years of hospitality service experience. Douglas attended the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco and has been a professional Chef since 1992, operating fine dinning restaurants and country clubs from the San Francisco Bay Area to Lake Tahoe. With an extensive knowledge of both domestic and international wines, Douglas can create custom multi course “tasting” menus with wine pairings that would delight your most sophisticated guest. Kelly has a degree in hotel & restaurant management from San Jose State and has worked with various bay area caterers and taught culinary arts/hospitality management in the Sacramento area. She now creates the custom wedding cakes for the Inn as well as professionally orchestrating your event as the wedding coordinator. Monte Verde Inn, Foresthill CA • 530.888.8123 • monteverdeinn.net Monte Verde Inn Weddings Price List 2010 Valid only by signed Event Agreement.Patrons provide: personal flowers, music, photographer and officiant $___.00 per adult, ($79 or $99) includes private site, china, linens, glassware, food, appropriate service staff, table décor flowers, wedding cake and non-alcoholic beverages OR $59.00 per child, ages two to ten. $___.00 per person, ($12 or $21 hosted bar approximately four hours) beverages including, red and white wines, four types of beer, sparkling wine (champagne). See Food and Beverage Menus for specific beverages. 21% charge for Service on combination of total package. This fee is for labor for service. Gratuities are at the discretion of the Patron. 7.25% sales tax on combination of food and beverage. Payment Schedule . . . . . . . Patrons shall pay an initial, NON-REFUNDABLE, retainer of $1000.00 to secure the Event date. Patrons shall pay a second retainer of $1,000.00 no later than twelve months prior to the Event. Patrons shall pay a third retainer of $1,000.00 no later than nine months prior to the Event. Patrons shall pay the remainder of the balance no later than seven days prior to the Event (see event agreement for specific details) Patrons shall pay for no less than the minimum total expenditure based on the day and date of the event listed below. This is not an additional fee. This figure represents the minimum amount of dollars spent (base package + beverage package + service charge + overnight Inn rental) in order to reserve the property for the date in question. If by sheer number of guests the minimum on your desired date can not be met. Then there will be a supplemental fee added to your final bill in the amount necessary to achieve the stated minimum. Cake will be made to serve the number of guaranteed guests. (as per event agreement) 2). We require a minimum of 40 guests to produce a three tier cake. 3). The top tier will be available to take home with the Bride & Groom 4). Our spacious second floor guest rooms are newly refurbished and have high ceilings, hardwood floors and oriental carpets. All accommodations at the Inn include a full breakfast and local hotel tax is added to all room rates. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . The Wedding Package The entire Inn may be reserved for the night for as many as sixteen guests sharing suites. The package includes upon arrival a bottle of champagne and an assorted cheese/cracker tray also you receive a full breakfast for up to sixteen guests. Additional guests may join the wedding party for breakfast for an additional $12.00 each. ~ $850 ~ is our largest suite with a daybed that converts into a queen and a separate twin bed in the front bedroom, as well as a mirrored dressing room with styling chair. The back bedroom has a mahogany four-poster queen bed that overlooks the gardens and wedding site. The private full bath can be entered from either room. (sleeps five) The Champagne Suite has two large bedrooms and a private full bath. The front bedroom has a king bed with a dark burled wood frame and a beautiful view of the forests and canyon. The large adjoining pine-walled room, with full windows on three sides, has two queen beds and provides a sitting area. (sleeps six) The Chianti Suite has a queen bed and a small adjoining sitting porch with a twin bed. A shared bath with shower is immediately outside the door. (sleeps three) The Cabernet Suite has antique French furniture and queen bed. A shared bath with shower is immediately outside the door. (sleeps two) If you are here as a wedding guest, in consideration of our next day’s wedding, we request that you have all personal articles out of the rooms by 10:00AM. You are welcome to remain at the Inn until 11:00AM. We make every effort to ensure the comfort and enjoyment of our guests and will inform you if there is additional time available for your party. Check in time for wedding guests is after 12:00 noon. For individual Inn guests, check-in time is 3:00 PM and checkout time is 11:00 AM.
