In 1986, we received our exemption to perform Acoustic Emission Testing (AET) of jumbo trailers, followed by p p g ( ) j , y AET of modular tube trailers in 1990. In 1993, FIBA was granted the first DOT exemption allowing Ultrasonic Examination (UE) of cylinders and in 2001, we received permission to perform UE on certain aluminum cylinders. Currently, we have more testing teams in the field than all other companies in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico combined and we are recognized as the world leader in alternative retesting. Today, AET and UE are accepted worldwide and acknowledged to be superior methods of test, because they provide a better assessment of a tube or cylinder’s integrity, enhanced safety, and financial savings. They can be installed on-board trailers, at ASME storage sites and alongside the compressor and cylinder filling manifolds. Functioning automatically and sequentially, the system will pressure- transfer more than half of the gas (about 55%) into cylinders or storage before start-up of the off- compressor hand valves loading compressor. This is accomplished without the use of individual cylinder hand-valves and it allows the specific selection of gas pressure into the building so that the performance of the compressor(s) being used is optimized by using suction pressures best suited for a particular machine. Customized Pressure Reducing Station A FIBA Pressure Reducing Station is an accessory for on-site, ASME or DOT storage receiver assemblies. user’s assemblies It is designed to regulate the flow of gas from the storage to the end user s process application. A simple one-regulator system maintains a constant gas pressure and flow. A two- regulator system insures an uninterrupted flow of gas by using both a primary and a reserve storage. Our stations can be equipped with valves, safeties, gauges, regulators, check valves and require any other accessories that the customer may require. All components are typically enclosed within a weather-tight box. The entire assembly is pressure tested before shipment to insure a leak-tight seal. FIBA TECHNOLOGIES, INC. Customized Electrical Control Panels FIBA manufactures custom electrical control panels utilizing state-of-the-art, programmable logic controllers. Manifold Systems FIBA M if ld S FIBA Technologies, Inc. has the skill and experience needed to design, manufacture and install off-loading quality manifold systems for filling of cylinders, off loading of tube trailers and installation on tube trailers, skid containers or ASME receiver assemblies. Our certified welders use a wide variety of welding techniques, including gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) and silver brazing, to manufacture the manifolds using brass, stainless steel, monel or hastelloy materials. Our fabrication shop is equipped with standard TIG welding machines as well as an orbital welding machine for high purity applications. We also have an automatic cleaning booth for internal solvent flushing and drying of the manifolds, hydrostatic test apparatus for pressure testing to inspect for hydrocarbon contaminants and helium mass spectrometer testing to inspect for leaks. Additionally, for unique situations, our design engineers have analysis software programs, which can calculate the piping stress points and fluid flow capabilities of our manifolds.
