All it knows is just one word Here is his hole in the ground

I Have A Little Heart Jeremiah Blow the Fire
I have a little heat Jeremiah blow the fire puff, puff, puff

It keeps right on beating Then you blow it rough
When I jump, jump, jump
I get a special feeling Leg Over Leg (great for putting diaper on)

I Have Ten Fingers Let’s Go Walking in the Snow
I have ten fingers Let‟s go walking in the snow
And they belong to me Walking, walking, on tiptoe
I can make them do things Lift one foot way up high
Would you like to see? Then the other keep it dry
All around the yard we skip
I can shut them up tight Watch your step or you might slip!

I can put them together
Let’s Put on Our Mittens My Snowsuit

Around our throat. I wear it every day.
Pull on our boots, Zip it up and zip it down,

I can walk, walk, walk, like an elephant

Round about, round about Sitting on top is the Mother hen
Goes the wee mousie Crackle, crackle, crackle
Up a bit, up a bit What do I see?
In his little housie! 10 fluffy chicks as yellow as can be.
Ten Galloping Horses And down those seeds fall
Ten galloping horses To make new little pine trees for tinsel
Came through town and balls.
5 were white and 5 were brown
They galloped up they galloped down The Cobbler (great for getting shoes on)
Ten galloping horse came through town. There‟s a cobbler on our street
                                            Mending shoes for little feet
With a bang, with a bang, with a bang,
Ten Little Fingers bang, bang.
With a bang, with a bang, with a bang,
I have ten fingers hold up both hands, bang, bang, bang
fingers spread Mending shoes the whole day long
And they all belong to me, point to self Mending shoes to make them strong
I can make them do things- With a bang, with a bang, with a bang,
Would you like to see? bang, bang
With a bang, with a bang, with a bang,
I can shut them up tight make fists bang, bang.
I can open them wide open hands
I can put them together place palms
together The Eency Weency Spider
I can make them all hide put hands (Alberta version)
behind back The eency weency spider climbed up the
                                            frozen tree
I can make them jump high hands over Down came the snow and made the
head spider freeze
I can make them jump low touch floor Out came the sun and it didn‟t do a
I can fold them up quietly fold hands in thing!
lap So the poor frozen spider just had to wait
And hold them just so. for spring…and wait…and wait…and
                                            WAIT!
Ten Little Snowmen
Ten little snowmen standing straight The Elephant (rhyme)
Ten little snowmen open the gate The elephant goes like this and that.
Ten little snowmen all in a ring He‟s oh, so big,
Ten little snowmen start to sing And he‟s oh, so fat!
Ten little snowmen dance all day He has no fingers,
Ten little snowmen hide away. And he has no toes.
                                            But goodness gracious,
The Christmas Tree What a nose!
I am a Christmas tree growing up tall
But when I first stared, I was this small The Little Old Man
Then I grew bigger and had branches The little old man went up in space
this wide And got ice cream all over his face.
And I made pine cones with seeds hiding So…wash him with a washcloth
inside Roll him is a rug
The wind shakes my branches Tuck him in a blanket (towel)
                                            Till he‟s snug, snug, snug!
The Moon is Round This is my sister (ring)
The moon is round as round can be This is the baby (pinky)
Two Eyes a nose and a mouth like me! Oh, how I love them all! (clap left hand
                                           over all fingers and hug)
There Was A Little Mouse
There was a little mouse This Little Cow
And he lived just there This little cow eats grass
(touch a spot on baby‟s body) This little cow eat hay
And when anybody came This little cow drinks water
He ran right up there! This little cow runs away
(run fingers up leg or arm for a tickle) And this little cow does nothing all day
So we‟ll chase her and chase her and
The Snowman chase her away!
Roll him and roll him until he is big
Roll him until he is fat as a pig Tommy Thumbs
He has two eyes and a hat on his head Tommy thumbs up, Tommy thumbs
He‟ll stand there all night down
While we go to bed! Tommy thumbs dancing all around the
                                           town
The Turtle Goes Up the Hill Dance „em on your shoulders, dance „em
(do action up child‟s arm) on your head
The turtle goes up the hill Dance „em on your knees and tuck „em
Creepy, creepy, creepy, creepy into bed
The snake went up the hill *Repeat with Peter Pointer, Toby Tall,
Slither, slither, slither, slither Ruby Ring, Baby finger, and finger
The rabbit went up the hill family
Boing, boing, boing, boing
The elephant went up the hill Two Little Eyes
Thud, thud, thud, thud Two little eyes to look all around
And they pushed and they pushed and Two little ears to hear each sound
they pushed and they pushed One little nose to smell what‟s sweet
And the big rock came tumbling down And one little mouth that likes to eat!
Bumpity, bumpity, bumpity, bumpity
CRASH! Tying My Shoe
I know how to tie my shoe
This is Me I take the loop and poke it through.
This is me from my head to my toes It‟s very hard to make it stay
I have two eyes and one little nose Because my thumb gets in the way.
I can wiggle my ears and stamp my feet
From my head to my toes I‟m really Under Baby’s Sweater
neat! Under baby‟s sweater, under baby‟s vest
There‟s a little button just waiting to be
This is My Family pressed.
This is my mother (thumb) Lift up baby‟s sweater, take a little peek
This is my father (pointer finger) Push that little button to make that baby
This is my brother tall (middle) squeak!
                                           Winter Time Poem
Walk Like a Turkey by Mary Ryer
(A movement rhyme) Icy fingers, icy toes,
Walk like a turkey, Bright red cheeks and bright red nose.
Woddle, woddle, woddle. Watch the snowflakes as they fall,
Talk like a turkey, Try so hard to count them all.
Gobble, gobble, gobble. Build a snowman way up high,
Run like a turkey See if he can touch the sky.
„Round and „round. Snow forts, snowballs, angels, too,
But when it‟s Thanksgiving In the snow, so white and new.
Don‟t make a sound! Slip and slide and skate so fast.
Jean Warren Wintertime is here at last.
Way Up High
(action Poem) Zoom, Zoom, Zoom
Way up high in the Christmas tree, Zoom, zoom, zoom. We‟re going to the
2 Little candy canes winked at me. moon. (X2)
So I shook that tree as hard as I could, Would you like to take a trip? Climb
And down came the candy canes, aboard my rocket ship.
MMM , MMM, Good! Zoom, zoom, zoom. We‟re going to the
                                           moon. (X2)
Way Up High In the Apple Tree 5,4,3,2,1 BLAST OFF!
Way up high in the apple tree
Two red apples looked down on me
I shook that tree as hard as I could
And down fell the apples
Mmmmm they were good!

Where is Thumbkin
Where is Thumbkin? Where is
Thumbkin? (thumbs behind back)
Here I am. Here I am. (bring out thumbs
one at a time)
How are you today sir? Very well I
think you. (wiggle thumbs as they talk)
Run away. Run away (hide behind
back)

Wiggle Waggle
Wiggle waggle went the bear
Catching bees in his underwear
One bee out and one bee in
And one bee bit him on his big bear skin
