The 2008 – 15th Annual Gold Beach Football Team Camp
We are often asked, “what makes the Gold Beach Camp so unique?” There a number of reasons the camp has become so popular over the years. 1. Cost - we are one of the least expensive camps around. 2. Duration - We are a five (5) day camp vs. most other three (3) or four (4) day camps. 3. Football from 8:00 AM to 11:30 PM while most other camps suspend field activities in the evening. 4. The number of hours devoted to each team’s on field practice time, which is four hours a day. 5. Coaches decide when, what and how their team will participate in the camp organization. 6. The quality of the communities, teams, and coaches who come to camp. 7. The competitive aspects of camp. • Saturday’s Weight Lifting Contest • Sunday’s Skill Contest • 7 Pass League games • 7 Linemen League games • The “Best on the Beach” Scrimmage-AThon • Numerous team and individual records and awards 8. The unparalleled beauty and recreation opportunities of Oregon’s Wild Rivers Coast. 9. The diversity of teams who come to camp, from small rural communities to large suburban high schools, and from California, Oregon, Washington, Nevada, and Idaho. 10. Outstanding camp facilities. • Camp grounds overlooking the Pacific Ocean • 3 full sized football fields • Outstanding weight room • Jay Johnson Stadium • 2 full sized gyms • Numerous meeting rooms
