Dear BC Faculty, Although we are far from the summer of 2009, time hurries so the Levan Center Faculty Scholarship Committee would like to alert you to the 2009 summer grant program. The Center will again award grants up to $1000 each for faculty scholarly and creative work during the summer of 2009. All full-time faculty who have been at BC for at least two years are eligible to apply. Those who have received grants are also eligible, although, all things being equal, priority will be given to those who have not received a grant. In case you would like to talk to summer 2008 grant recipients, they are Natalie Bursztyn, Kristopher Stallworth, Reggie Williams, and Kimberly Van Horne. As you consider applying for a grant, think about how you would describe your project, how the grant would suppport it, and what results you expect. The deadline for summer 2009 grants is April 3, 2009, and detailed application information will be in faculty boxes and posted on campus during the first week of February.
