Successful Day at Lehman Catholic High School – Sidney, Ohio
Kelley Hooper was invited to do an All-School Assembly at Lehman Catholic High School in Sidney, Oh on January 9th. The goal for the assembly was to spark enough interest through “sign-up” to form a club at Lehman. The Assembly was called Opportunity Day and was designed to show the students how to get involved in Volunteering around the Community. Kelley was fortunate enough to be the keynote speaker for the morning. Joining her were 3 Interactors from Versailles who described their projects and activities. What Kelley did not expect was the long line of kids to sign up immediately! Fifty-two students wanted to form a club immediately and an n Adviser stepped forward as well
Piqua Rotary Club Committed to Interact Club Formation
Kelley then headed to Piqua High School to attend a meeting with members of Piqua Rotary and High School Assistant Principal Rob Dickerson. Piqua Rotary is committed to the idea of starting Interact and requested help with the organization process. The group agreed the School Assembly was so successful, we would repeat the idea in Piqua. We hope that the Piqua Interact Club will be formed by spring break at the latest. Club President Sharon Semanie coordinated the opportunities for Kelley to share the story of Interact.
Sycamore High School
To top it off a very large club has already formed this school year at Sycamore High School with a beginning membership of 200!
