SUBMISSION GUIDELINES FOR BP 2009
- Literary submission must be saved in Microsoft Word Document format. - A maximum of six (6) selections may be submitted per author. - Prose is limited to 1,500 words. - Art submissions cannot contain endorsements (slogans, logos, or product names). - Visual art submissions and all elements used to create the submissions (photography, other images, etc.) must be originally produced by the submitting artist. - Art submissions must be digitalized at 1500 pixels wide and/or 2250 pixels high or greater (bigger the better) and saved in TIFF (no compression) or JPEG (high to maximum quality) file format. - All submissions should include a cover letter in Microsoft Word Document format containing the name of the submitting individual, phone number, email address, brief biography, and a list of submission titles. - Submissions and cover letter must be saved on a PC formatted zip disk, CD-Rom, or 3.5” floppy disk. - We need two (2) printed hard copies of each submission. Please do NOT send originals; they can NOT be returned. - Author’s or artist’s name must NOT appear on submissions, because all work is judged anonymously.
Submit work to the Writing Center [Kemp 105] before February 20th, 2009; a box for submissions is available.
Note: Approximately 25% of the Beyond Parallax journal is dedicated to visual arts. There is no guarantee that submitted work will be accepted for publication.
