2010 Eyak Foundation Photo Calendar Contest Specifications
Eligibility: The contest is open to individuals of all ages. Entry Period: Contest will begin on February 1, 2009 and will end on June 30, 2009 at 5:00pm AKST. Individuals may submit as many good quality photographs as they wish. Photo Specifications: Photos should represent the native culture, whether through people, places, things, landscapes, activities, or anything else representational. Photos must be submitted in the form of good quality digital files (.jpg, giff, or .tiff). For best results, it is encouraged that the photographer use the Best Quality digital format on his or her camera while shooting photographs. How to Enter: Participants may enter by submitting a completed Entry Form along with their photo (s). The Entry Form must be filled out completely. If submitting multiple photos, you must include an entry form for each photo and clearly mark which form belongs to which photo. Online Entry: Visit The Eyak Foundation website at www.eyakfoundation.org for complete online entry instructions. Email Entry: Complete the entry form found on the Eyak Foundation website at www.eyakfoundation.org. Attach the form to an email, along with your photo(s), to Amy Bishop at amy.bishop@eyaktek.com. Multiple photos should be sent in separate emails if the size exceeds 8MB. Standard Mail Entry: Complete the entry form and include it in an envelope containing a burned CD or memory drive of your photo(s). Entries must be postmarked by June 30, 2009. Mail to: Amy Bishop, 22980 Indian Creek Drive, Suite 400, Dulles, VA 20166. Drop Off: Complete the entry form and include it in an envelope containing a burned CD or memory drive of your photo(s). Seal the envelope and clearly mark it with “2010 Eyak Foundation Calendar Photo Contest.” Drop off the sealed envelope at either Eyak Corporation Office at 5700 Old Seward Highway, Suite 203, Anchorage, Alaska 99518 or 901 LeFevre St, P.O. Box 340, Cordova, Alaska 99574. Entries must be dropped off by June 29, 2009. Voting: The voting period begins on July 1, 2009. Winners will be determined by the total number of votes received. Final results will be posted on the Eyak Foundation website at www.eyakfoundation.org in August, 2009. Winner Recognition: 12 photographs will be selected for the calendar, one for each month. The top photograph will also be printed on the cover. Photographers’ names and a brief description of the photograph will be included with each corresponding photo.
