Trials Event Format: 3 metre and 10 metre events Diver rankings based on Final placings o Diver rankings to make the Finals based on cumulative score for Prelim and Semi-final o Diver rankings in the Final will be based on points made in the finals only (start at zero - no cumulative score) For platform event selection, only divers competing an all 10 metre list will be eligible for selection on Platform Synchro events will be a straight Final

In the case of a team member withdrawal, the next eligible diver will be selected as part of the funded team.

If one or both of the top 2 teams do not make the point standard, the synchro teams will be selected from the individual divers on the team. Coach Selection - Funded: A maximum of 4 coaches will be selected. Coaches with the highest number of divers on the team will be selected first. Where a tie exists, the coach earning the most points based on the formula below will be selected. Synchro teams making the point standard will count points according to their place – each diver on the team receiving ½ the points. Diver Fees: $300 diver fee assessed Travel & Accommodation: Divers and coaches who reside in Montreal will have the option to either stay at home or at the hotel for the duration of the competition. All divers will be required to attend all scheduled team meetings and other planned functions.
SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES Inability to train or compete; Should anything occur following the trials that may inhibit a selected diver’s performance or ability to compete (injury or other circumstance) and before departure to the international competition to which he/she has been selected, it is the responsibility of the diver and their coach to immediately inform the High Performance Director. The complete report will be reviewed by the High Performance Director in consultation with the diver’s coach. An athlete whose performance ability or ability to prepare for or be prepared at the upcoming trip/competition, may be removed from the team and replaced by an alternate diver.
Failure to report an injury or other circumstance which inhibits the diver’s performance or ability to compete, pending a review by the High Performance Director and the Chief Technical Officer, the diver may be required to reimburse CADA for any expenses incurred.
PLEASE NOTE The High Performance Director will have the final jurisdiction over the selection of the Team. In the case where there has been ambiguity or a lack of clarity, the High Performance Director will make the final decision. In the case where unanticipated circumstances arise not expressly covered in the published selection criteria, a final and binding decision will be made by the High Performance Director to address the issue.
