CHART A: ESTIMATED COSTS for 2009-2010
Figures for “Tuition and Fees” for 2009-2010 are based on an anticipated 10% increase over last year and are subject to change.
Costs for books and supplies, medical insurance, room and board, and travel and personal expenses are based on averages
experienced by our international students. Students may reduce or increase these costs by choosing more or less frugal
arrangements and lifestyles. However, financial support documentation must cover the costs listed below for purposes of visa
eligibility paperwork.

“Academic Year” is defined as the nine months of fall and spring semesters; specifically, this means the 17 weeks of the fall
semester (August to December), the four weeks of winter vacation (December-January), and the17 weeks of spring semester
(January to May). “Summer Session” includes eight weeks of classes (June-July) and two three-week vacation periods. The
“Calendar Year” is 12 months, May to May.
