     JUNIOR CIRCUIT POINTS TOURNAMENTS 2008 – 2009

                                 CONDITIONS
     1.     GENERAL:
             Each tournament will be conducted under the rules of Tennis
              Victoria. Tournament Committees and Referees shall have control of
              their respective tournament.
             Play will commence at 8.30am. (Doubles am: Singles pm).
             Players must report to Tournament Office on arrival.
             Players must not leave courts without permission.
             Players must wear recognized tennis wear and shoes.

     2.     AGE GROUP:
             Competitors must be either under or at that age by 31st January
               2009. The 15 & over age group includes:
                  All players that are too old for the 14 & under section and “of
                  or under” 18 years of age by the 31st January 2008.
             Ages 10 & under, 12 & under, 14 & under and 15 & over for boys
               and girls. Tournament Organisers to check date of birth for all
               competitors.

     3.     ENTRY:
              Players may enter only one singles and doubles event, preferably in
               the same age group.
              Entry fees payable on arrival at courts: SINGLES $5.00 & DOUBLES
               $12.00 pair.
              Please make players aware that they must honour their entry unless
               extreme circumstances prevail.        Please contact organizers of
               tournament if you are unable to attend their tournament after an
               entry has been placed.
4.   EVENT FORMAT:
       Singles events will be knock-out. All matches will consist of one 6
        game set of normal tennis, tie-breakers at 5 all.
       Double events will be round robin. All double matches will consist of
        one 6 game, sudden death set, tie-breakers at 5 all. Double events
        must provide players with a minimum of three, and maximum of 5
        matches. (In the case of only three pairs in an event, matches would
        be played to 8 – 7 all tiebreaker). Where there are three sections in
        an age group, final are to be played between the winners of each
        section and the next highest games winner.
       The Regional Tournament Coordinator must approve any alterations
        to the above format. (To be appointed by the Regional committee).

5.   POINTS ALLOCATION:
       Points allocated to Region 2 Affiliated Tennis Victoria players only,
         based on performance. Tournament organizers must clearly mark
         any players not affiliated with Tennis Victoria, as they are ineligible
         to receive points.
       Winner players will receive 100 points, runner-up 80 points. All
         other players will receive 20 points for entry and 10 points per
         match that they win.

6.   REFEREES:
       A Referee will be appointed and announced by the organizing
         Association/club at all tournaments.
          Where matches are played away from the main venue, additional referees
           shall be appointed to officiate at these venues.

7.   UMPIRES:
       All 10 & Under matches must be controlled by an on court umpire.
          All other age groups do not require an umpire unless requested by the
           player(s).

8.   HEAT POLICY:
       Tournament organizers shall adopt the heat policy                of   the
         Association/Club at which the Tournament is conducted.

9.   PARENT CODE OF CONDUCT:
        Parents attending tournaments shall adopt and adhere to the
         Tennis Victoria “Code of Conduct”.
