BIOSIGN ANNOUNCES START OF GAMUT GLUCOMETRY TRIAL
TORONTO, ONTARIO, January 25, 2007 – Biosign Technologies Inc. (CNQ: BIOS)
announces today the start of its GAMUT trial. The multi-track study will further substantiate the
measurement capabilities of Biosign’s UFIT™ system. The first track, GAMUT-1, will assess the
substantial equivalence of UFIT™ with the laboratory analysis of venous blood glucose, which is
the “gold standard” for blood glucose measurement in medical practice.

GAMUT-1 will also assess the substantial equivalence of UFIT™ with a top-selling glucometer,
which uses capillary blood obtained by lancing the skin. Such glucometers are routinely
      recommended for diabetes self-care.

UFIT™ computes the glucose level in the arterial blood from its flow characteristics, while
measuring blood pressure. The method shares the general characteristics of UFIT™ technology:
noninvasive and user-friendly, readily accessible over the Internet according to local regulations,
runtime quality assurance with prompt detection and recall of defective units, and results
verifiable for technical accuracy and clinical relevance.

GAMUT will observe recent regulatory guidances on medical device trials, including the use of
ISO standards and Bayesian statistics. This allows the inclusion of Biosign’s prior studies.

GAMUT-1 is scheduled for presentation at an international workshop on medical measurements
      and applications in April, 2007.

      About Biosign

Biosign develops technologies, products and initiatives to address critical problems in global
health care. The focus is on measuring health status, outcomes, and risk toward maximizing
clinical awareness, readiness, and effectiveness. The thrust is on enabling autonomous medical
care along the axis of quality, access, and cost. The core technology expands virtual
instrumentation with universal measurement and rapid knowledge formation to support service
oriented enterprising across global markets. Trademarked UFIT, the web-based technology
powers several business lines in adaptive clinical trials, self-care, medical homes, distributed
diagnostics and home health care. Regulated applications include intelligent systems for
noninvasive monitoring at the point of care, useful in optimizing health and managing chronic
diseases such as hypertension and diabetes.
