Get a refreshing taste of life while pushing yourself to the limits and redefining your boundaries. Peak Adventures and Riverside Farm the popular wedding estate is hosting the New England 200mile and 100-mile ultra-marathon. This race will expose you to one of the most “grueling, wild, challenging and beautiful 100 Mile events East of the Mississippi River and an amazing 200-mile journey that will literally blow your soul away,” states race director Shepa John Lacroix. Participants will experience pain and pleasure as they are immersed in one of the most picturesque places the world has ever seen. The annual New England 200-mile and 100mile ultra-marathon will take place on the 6th and 8th of November 2008, respectively. Expect unpredictable weather, a tough course and an unforgettable experience. All the 200 and 100-mile participants will enjoy 100 mountainous miles of 95% single track trails, logging roads and snowmobile trails; Anyone who is up for a real challenge is invited to Pittsfield, Vermont for a challenge that promises to be a real thrill for those who participate. Not up to the New England challenge quite yet? Anyone is welcome to show up at the start or at the end of finish line to check on the progress of our runners. You can get your hands into the mind of ultra-running by volunteer at the aid stations or sit back and relax while cheering on the participants. Similar to last year’s race post-race activities include a bonfire awards ceremony, cook out and great company. 4.9% dirt roads and 0.1% pavement totaling approximately 20,000 feet of elevation gain. The 200mile race will continue will 100% single-track/ double-track trails and dirt roads over rolling country terrain with 10,000 additional feet of gain.
