The objective of this paper is to show that simulation results can be very near to the laboratory test
results and can contribute to reduce the price of electricity. We present results useful for the
validation of simulation tools. The focus is on the following tests, whose principles are detailed in the
Annex:
• Internal arc tests (overpressures during arc faults)
• Short-time withstand current and peak withstand current (electrodynamical forces and stresses)
• Temperature rise test.
