In addition, I taught aerobic dance exercise for children with cerebral palsy and for patients with rheumatoid arthritis and other orthopedic conditions, at rehabilitation centers in Japan for 8 years. Videos of one of these aerobic classes were used as physical education material and were aired by Japan Broadcast University, known for its long distance education program in Japan. As such, in May and December, during the semester breaks at San Jose State University, I teach fitness and holistic health theories at Eiwa University, Japan. A short paragraph to students: Improve your awareness, it is a key to achieve your goals. Appreciation is a key to obtain happiness.無心(mushin)-„no-mind.‟ A zen master said that mushin is operating when the actor is separate from the act and no thoughts interfere with action because the unconscious act is the most free and uninhibited. According to Bruce Lee, achieving the state of mushin is “Only through practice and more practice, until you can do something without conscious effort. Then your reaction becomes automatic.”
