Emergency Handbook for Getting Craigslist Money Fast Without Breaking Their TOU (Terms Of Use) Walk Through the Craigslist Front Door and Begin Earning Cash Tomorrow! "Leave those back door tactics to low lifes who get their ads deleted." If you have not heard or seen about a report on making money with Craigslist then you just got online yesterday. There are many books out on the market that will show you ways to place free ads on Craigslist and make money with those ads. BUT Almost every one of them are teaching you some way to BEAT Craigslist Terms Of Service policy. These ways can get your ads deleted (or flagged) at the least and get you and your IP address banned forever at Craigslist in some cases. Here are some of the ways these black-hat report tell you to spam the Craigslist site. • Use different IP addresses to list almost the same ad. By doing this Craigslist does not know that the ads are from the same person thus beating their terms of service policy that states just one ad per item or city. Use cheap phone service to set up the above ads. With the cheap or free Internet phone services you can set up multiple accounts and beat their TOU. Use new software to auto post ads in different categories or cities. This is against their TOU policy Placing the basic same ad in different cities with minor changes but only place X number of ads per day. These report tell you even the number of ads to place per day. Their magic number varies from report 6to report. There are many more ways to beat or try to beat craigslist but I do not want to list these and temp some to try them. They can get you banned from Craigslist. • • • • How much do you want to make per day from a free service like Craigslist? If you are looking to make thousands a day then you have to cheat the service to produce those numbers. But if you are an honest person that is looking for a way to make an extra $100 or $200 a day, you can and should use Craigslist. You can also do that amount without breaking any Terms of Service. The rest of this report will show you a step-by-step method to bring in an extra couple hundred bucks when needed. Or at least when the opportunity arises. The amount you can make is controlled by the time you want to put in. But most of your time spent on these Cash methods can be while you are doing other chores that you would normally do during your day or on the weekends. You will learn: • • • • • How to spot the “money products” during a normal shopping trip. How to use Dollar Stores, Ebay, Walmart and Craigslist to produce a couple of hundred dollars each and every day or week. How to not leave your home and still use the above resources to find the “money products” How to research to find the “Hot Money Products” so you do not have to stock products for weeks. Sell out in days. With NO shipping of products. The secret to using craigslist.org to make a couple of hundred dollars without breaking their TOU policy. (Of course if you have a Hot High Ticket Item then you can make thousands) How to have an item sold BEFORE you acquire it. No need to layout any money to make money. Examples of actual deals I made while testing and writing this report with screenshots of the process along the way. And much, much more. • • • This is a No fluff, step-by-step report so you can get started quickly. You can read this report in 10 minutes and then start right away to make some of the same deals as you just read about in the report. It ok if everyone that reads this report does exactly the same deals as in the report because there are hundreds of thousands of deals like this available. Now let’s get on with the DEALS! Introduction The whole primes of this report is to show you how to find deals on merchandise that you can buy low and sell high. I like to find deals that I can make strictly online but this report also shows you how to make deals from other sources then online. You can decide for yourself which deals you want to work. The idea of any deal that will make you money is not in the selling of those items but in the buying. If you buy low you guarantee yourself a profit because you can sell low for a quick sale. Maybe you won’t make the killing you want from a quick sale but those deals will come along while doing business. Most of your deals will make you a couple of hundred of dollars if you buy right. After reading this report you will buy right because you will be finding only the deals that are “HOT” right now. I am now going to show you exactly how this report came about with a few examples of deals I made. I will take you through the steps I did to make these deals and that will let you see that you can do this too. I am going to use examples from today Sept 18, 2007 so they are up to date but the deals I actually made happened over the last two months. I would show you the screenshots of the actually deals but some are not available any more online and some do not want their information given out to others. But the examples below are real and the same as the ones I made but are being made by, other people. How this all started was I was looking at my local Craigslist site and saw an item I wanted but they were selling two of the item in a “lot sale”. That meant I had to buy two of the item so I had to sell the other one. I researched the items and found that this was a very good deal as far as price. And when I sold the other one (Within two days) I made enough on that one so the other item was FREE to me. Not a bad deal. That got me thinking about how many deals were there online and offline where you could buy them at a low price and sell them for at least double the cost. So I started doing some research and found hundreds in a matter of a couple of hours. Some of these I bought right then and sold all of them in a couple of weeks. Most were sold in days. The total profit from the items I bought was $846.00 in less then two weeks. That’s over $400 a week for a couple of hours of work. Not bad. Below I use the same type of items that I made that profit on (and I might even buy some of them) to show you what is available to make you money. First you need to know how to do the research. So I will explain how I do this part of the method. You might know or find some sites that I don’t use or know about. Good for you and you can share them with me if you want. ☺ The idea behind this research is to find Hot items at low prices. I will only give you online sources at this time and then at the end of this report I will show you how to use Walmart, Kmart, Dollar stores, ETC. to make the same kind of deals offline. Here is an extreme example and a made up one to show you why you can get some great buys “over there” to sell over “here” or the other way around. Buy here and sell over “there”. Say a store in California is selling sporting goods and has baseball caps for different teams for sale. They might have many caps for the California Angels team and will sell out of most because that is their team. But they will also have caps for the NY Mets because there is some transplant New Yorkers in California. These will sell slower and they will have less in stock to start with but when the promotion is over the stock they have left over will go on a discount sales table. Let’s say the original price was $15, they might discount them to 50% off and try to sell them at $7.50 each. But the price was not the reason they did not sell, the demand was the reason. So if you could go into the store and get them to sell you all that they have left for $5 each and then bring them back to New York you could sell them out at the original price of $15 and make a nice profit. In fact if the NY Mets caps are sold out in NY area stores you might be able to get $20 bucks each for them, right? That is the idea behind buying over there and selling over here. But we are not looking for the one time specials, we are looking for the merchandise that is selling everyday at a bargain so we can make a profit of everything we buy. There are three problems with finding and selling this merchandise for a profit. One is to find the hot products so we know we will sell out in quick order at a profit. The second problem is to find the right price to buy these hot items at so we make a profit. The third problem is finding these bargains on a regular basis and not just stumbling on a great bargain. Wholesale sources are not the answer because too many people are using these online sources to buy the same items at the same price. To show you how to solve these three problems I will not walk you through how I solved these problems with an actual example. How to find the “HOT” products. We will use Ebay for this step. If you go to ebay.com you will see this screenshot: On the left hand side of the page are categories. The first step is to pick a category. For this example let use Musical Instruments. For Musical Instruments we find there are 164,568 items listed. We have to narrow that down to the “HOT” items. Here is how we do that. Most normal auctions get very few bids right away when first listed. They will get a trickle and then as the closing day and time approach the bidding gets heavy if it is an item in demand. But a real “HOT” item will get bids right away when first listed. These bids show that there are a lot of people looking for these items and the bidding will only get fiercer as the closing time approaches. Here is how you find those Hot items. We want to find the items that get at least 5 bids within the first 12 hours of the auction being placed. So if you go down the left hand side of the page you will see the following. I have already filled in the form to find the Musical Instruments that have at least 5 bids or more in the first 12 hours. As you see from above the listings is as follows: “Started within” “12 hours” and the number of bids is a Min. of 5. You can put a large number in the Max bids block. I put 100 for this example. Then click “show items”. I got the following: As you can see there are only 16 items that got at least 5 bids in the first 12 hours. I can’t show you the whole list but out of the 16 items I found that Guitars and Clarinets are most popular and are hot items. You don’t want the ANTIQUE or VINTAGE auctions just the run of the mill auctions for either Guitars or Clarinets or both. I picked Clarinets for this example. Now we have to find out the average selling price that these Clarinets are selling for. We use the same left hand column and find the completed auctions. These will give you the closing prices these sold for. I will show you how to do that in a minute. I found out of the 16 auctions that 3 of them were for the “LeBlanc Normandy #4 Clarinet” So I know this is a Hot item right now. Now I have to find the price that these have sold for in the past so I know what to bid for these auctions. So we use the completed auction function. Go back to the search box on Ebay and enter LeBlanc Normandy #4 Clarinet in the search box. Click on search and it will bring up any items that are on auction right now. We are not going to do anything with these right now and even if you get no results just scroll down the left side until you see the following. Check the box in front of “completed listings and then click “show items. You will get all recent listings for the Leblanc Normandy 4 Clarinet that has been completed. You will see the prices and if the price is green then that item sold for that price recently. If the price is in red then the item did not sell. Check the average prices that sold. On my search for this example the average price sold was about $200 for the Leblanc Normandy 4 Clarinet. So I know that I can “buy” or “sell” this item for about $200 on Ebay. But that would not make us any money. In fact we would have to pay shipping so we need to invest another $18 of so for each item we buy. Let’s say $20. So we move on to the next step. We have to find WHERE these “Leblanc Normandy 4 Clarinets” are selling for more then $200. We actual want a place where they will sell for at least $300 or more each. That way we can make at least $80.00 profit on each sale. I am going to show you a trick to find these places. I will use Craigslist as the example but there are many places we can hunt to find what these Clarinets that are selling for at least $300. I will give you a list at the end in the resource section. Go to Google and fill in the search box like below: The first thing you type is “site:” (make sure you put the colon after site) and without the quote marks and then follow with the website URL (no space between the url and the colon) and without the “www”. In this example that is craigslist.org. Then you place a space and then enter the search term you are looking for. Here it is the “Leblanc Normandy 4 Clarinet” without the quote marks. Here is what came up for me: When you do this the results will be different but that does not make any difference. Results for your area computer and new listings will change the listings but it will give you an up-to-date listings. I have placed red arrows where the selling prices are. The listed prices and the areas where these are selling are below: montana.craigslist.org/msg/396146341.html losangeles.craigslist.org/sgv/msg/ eugene.craigslist.org/msg/ austin.craigslist.org/msg/index100.html austin.craigslist.org/msg/ houston.craigslist.org/msg/index600.html $250.00 $260.00 $375.00 $400.00 $350.00 $250.00 As you can see from the above the Leblanc Normandy 4 Clarinet is selling in eugene.craigslist.org/msg/ austin.craigslist.org/msg/index100.html austin.craigslist.org/msg/ $375.00 $400.00 $350.00 for well over our $200 “buying” price. So these are the cities where we want to sell these items in. Right? In fact we could buy them from the other cities that have them for sale at $250 to $260 and then sell them in Eugene and Austin. I’m sure with a little arm twisting you can pick up the ones listed for $250 and only have to pay $200. So what do we have so far? We know where to find Leblanc Normandy 4 Clarinets at a price where we can make some money with them. (Now this can be any item you want to make a profit on and these clarinets are just an example) We also know where to sell these at a profit. I would list my ads in the Eugene and Austin areas on Craigslist.org to get the best selling price. With the Internet it is simple to “Buy here and Sell there” and make a profit on every sale. You can also use any of the other websites that are listed in the resource section and check what the items you want to sell are selling for. You may find some areas where you can get an even bigger price for your items. Most of the time I just use Ebay and Craigslist but I want you to know about the others. Later I will get into other sources and how to buy merchandise that will make you a good profit. Let’s try another example. I go to Ebay and start putting in categories for the completed auctions to see what is selling. I find the “chatty cathy doll” is selling well. Here is a screenshot of some completed auctions. These completed auctions are for the Reproduction of the Chatty Cathy doll in 1998. The least I could find it sold for was $69.00. So let’s go over to Craitgslist and see if any are available and for what price. Here a screen shot of the first listing. There are two in the top four listings that are selling for $40. We could buy these and almost guarantee ourself that we could sell them on Ebay for at least $65. Now that we know these are available and that we can make money on them we will add them to our growing list of “HOT” items to sell to make a profit. These are not just a few random examples. They are all over the place. Let’s pick another one. I know restaurant equipment is always in demand. Let’s check what’s HOT. Hobart Meat Slicers! I found many on Ebay and also many on Craigslist. There were too many to show you here. They ranged in price from about $100 bucks up to $1,500 bucks. Now when I come across an item whith a range like that I know I need to use Model numbers in my searching. When I did that for a few models I found some great bargains on both Craigslist and Ebay. You could take just this one area and make a nice part time living from it. Here is an example of what I found. The Hobart Model 1712E Automatic Meat Slicer had ads and completed auctions at prices from $100 to $2,000.00. With price ranges like that I thought condition would be a big factor but I was wrong. Some people just do not know how to price this equipment. Most of the ads and auctions had pictures so I could see the condition of the items. I actual found 3 items that I bought. I paid $100, $135 and $150 for these three slicers. I have received one already and it is a great buy. I know I could walk into almost any deli and sell it on the spot for $500 bucks. And I will still have the other two to sell. This was just one model. There were others and it was not hard to find the great buys. All I did was use our secret of Googling the Site Craigslist like we talked about above. Now these are heavy machines and I checked to get prices on shipping. I set it up with each seller so I had a trucking company pick it up at their place and ship it to me. The most costly one was $120.00 for shipping. That slicer cost me a total of $220 and I will easily get $500 for it. Go ahead and google the following: Site:craigslist.org Hobart Meat Slicer 1712E Well today when I try it there are NO bargains for this slicer. But that is ok, because I know over the next month there will be many available. Let’s try Ebay completed auctions and see what the recent listings for this slicer have sold for. Here are just a few that sold in the last few days. Even if we add the freight to the final price we know they are selling on Craigslist for $900 to $1.200 right now. See: Even if I paid shipping when I bought it and also paid shipping for the person that I sell it to I still can make $300 or $400 on each sale. Whoo!!! Hold the Presses!!! I just sold another one of the slicers to a friend of mine that owns a deli. I sold it for $700 cash and just showed him the pictures of the slicer. I called the trucking company and they had not picked up the slicer yet so I had it shipped to my friend’s place of business. Never saw it or touched it and still made almost $350.00 dollars. If I had let him see the pictures BEFORE I bought it I could of not laid out a cent of my own money for this transaction. Now that is what this buying and selling is all about. ☺ I was going to show you how to buy items with no cash upfront so now is as good of time as any. If you know certain items are always on sale at a price that will make you money you can place free ads at Craigslist and actual sell the items before you buy them. Place the ad for the item and then tell the buyer you will get back to them with the shipping details. Then buy the item and have it shipped to your buyer. Be careful with this tactic. It can back fire and your buyer might back out. You will still have the item to sell but it will cost you upfront. Also always use an escrow company for these transactions. More about escrow companies below. Here are a few other things I want you to know about that will make your job easier. You can set it up so Ebay will notify you when there are certain items for sale that you are interested in. Like the Clarinets above, we know we can make a profit from them so we get Ebay to notify us by email when they have these items up for auction. We can make money off of these items for a long time to come. To get information on setting up eBay email notifications go here: http://pages.ebay.com/help/myebay/questions/myebay-change-notification As you do your research and your buying low and selling high you will come across items that you will want to sell on a steady basis. Just set these items up with Ebay to notify you. You’ll want a list of these “HOT” items so you can buy and sell them everyday. Just one sale of these Clarinets each day will bring you in an extra hundred bucks a day. Also one more thing. This buying and selling can work the other way around. You can sometimes find great bargains on craigslist and the other sites and then sell them on Ebay. These items are much better then trying to compete with all the merchandise that is acquired from wholesalers. Before we get into placing ads on Craigslist so we do not get them deleted I want to mention one more thing. Even though it costs some extra money use an escrow account to make your sales and buying safe. Not everyone on the net is honest and it is better to be safe then sorry. To get more information on escrow services go here: http://pages.ebay.com/help/tp/payment-escrow.html You can place ads on Craigslist and do business anywhere if you set it up the right way. Your ads in other cities other then your own hometown has to be handled different then in your hometown. In your hometown you can place the ad and the buyer can come and pick up the merchandise and pay you with cash on the spot. In other out of town cities you have to go through a couple of extra steps and your ad has to be set up different. In your hometown your ad can list the merchandise for sale with a price and an email address or phone number to contact you about arrangements for buying your items. In out of town ads you do the same thing but when you receive the email from the interested buyer you have to make some arrangements for payment and delivery. For payment I use Paypal when I can. For large amounts of money I use an escrow service. Here is a sample email I send when I get their email that they would like to buy an item. Dear Mr., Mrs, Ms I have some details about this merchandise that I would like to talk to you about. Could you send me your phone number and the best time to call you? Or if you prefer you can call me anytime between 8AM and 4PM Monday thru Friday at: XXX-XXX-XXXX. Thank you, Skip Rosell Address City, State, Zip Phone: Email: Then when they call or when I call them I tell them the payment method and shipping information. The reason you want to do it this way is so your ad with your email address does not mention shipping and they might think you are in the local area. This works in your favor because your ads will not be deleted since you are selling merchandise and making the private transaction between you and the buyer. The same holds true if you find some items you want to buy that are listed on craigslist and you want to sell them on Ebay. You have to speak to the person to set up shipping and payment. The way I do this is I Google a shipping store in their area and let them know that I will pay for the shipping and packing and all they have to do is drop it off at the store. Of course I figure my extra costs so I make sure I am still getting a great bargain. Craigslist loves merchandise ads where it looks like a local transaction. You are doing the same as a local transaction except you have to ship the merchandise instead of the person picking it up locally. As far as the actual ads you write. Craigslist was set up so local people can sell their stuff. Like coaches, bikes, etc. They like to see ads in the following format. Item name, price, quick description, and for merchandise. With the stuff you will be offering that is exactly the type of ad you would write. They don't like anything that smells commercial or has an affiliate scent. That means even if you have 10 or 20 of an item list it like you have one. You can sell the rest to the people that answer by email or phone. Here are a few samples of ads that would not get deleted by Craigslist. (Note: Nothing in this life is a certainty but if you format your ads this way your chances of getting deleted will be small) Also you will be selling different merchandise so all your ads will be different. Also you will only be picking one or two cities (the best ones to sell in) for each type of item so you are not bombarding the craigslist.org with too many ads. Remember you can get many sales from one ad if you have multiple items of the same kind. If you just put up ads for physical merchandise and don't hype it you have a good chance of not getting deleted. If an ad reads like this how can it be flagged or deleted. Hobart mixer model 1712E $900.00 Like new and works great Email me for more details. What I am trying to say is if you are advertising a simple product in a straight forward way you are doing what the Craigslist policy say they want. Since all your ads will be for HOT items you do not need a hyped up ad to sell the items. That brings me to Walmart, Dollar Stores and the likes. Most of these discount stores have “sales bins” where they discount their merchandise even farther. Here is an example. I was in one of my local Dollar Stores (I have 5 within a few miles of me) and I saw a big bin with DVD’s in it. There were 15 sets of Boston Legal Season 3 New DVD’s. I know these sell on Ebay all the time for $20 or more. They were in this bin for $1 each. I bought them and turned a pretty penny on that purchase. Now what if you do not know what an item like that will sell for? Go home and do some research or better yet bring your laptop and search Ebay’s completed listings to see what you can get for them. If you can sell them with the shipping cost and still make a profit them buy them. Don’t forget to check craigslist and the other sites to see if they sell for more on those sites. Watch these sale bins at all the discount stores you visit. I have found bargains at Walmart, Kmart, and many other discount stores. Also buy after holiday items from these stores. After any holiday these stores give deep discounts on this type of merchandise and you can pick up some great bargains. The only problem is you have to store the bargains till the holiday comes around next year. But there is a lot of profit in these items. I have given you a plan. It may sound like a lot of work but it is not once you get it set up. You can do all the buying and selling in a matter of a couple of hours a week and make at least a couple of hundred dollars. That is over $100 an hour. Not bad. And if you have more then a couple of hours then you can make some full time income. If you have any questions just send me an email to skippicks@aol.com and I will help in any way I can. Best of success, Skip Rosell 1. www.CraigsList.com Most of what will be discussed in this book was pioneered on Craigslist. Hands down the most effective online advertising service (for our approaches) that we have used. 2. www.Kaboo.org Very similar to Craigslist (more about these similarities later) this site is actually easier to navigate than Craigslist but does not yet have the volume of users.
