I.
Download of Preliminary Programs
A. Before starting the download and installation of
the game, make sure you have the following programs downloaded and installed on your computer
i.
Winrar
Winrar is an application for Microsoft Windows which lets users open compressed files, and later extract these files for use. It can also compress a number of files so that the files together in a group will occupy less space. This is very similar to the application called Winzip, which essentially does the same thing. IF YOU HAVE EITHER OF THESE PROGRAMS, PLEASE SKIP THIS STEP. If not, then

Vuze
Vuze, formally known as Azureus, is a program which uses files known as torrents to download certain files from other users who have the file already (seeders), and users who are downloading the file at the same time as you (Peers or leachers). Similar programs to this are BitTorrent, BitTornado, BitLord, etc. IF YOU HAVE ANY OF THESE PROGRAMS OR SOMETHING SIMILAR, SKIP THIS STEP. If not, please go to the following link and download this program. This download should only take a few seconds.

II.
Downloading Game Files
A. Download the Torrent
Torrents are files that use Torrent programs to download specific software files.

Thepiratebay.org is a website with a search engine that searches through user submitted torrents. On the search bar, type in the desired application you wish to download and a list of Torrents show up. The best results for the fastest downloads are the torrents that show the most seeders and the fewest leachers. These numbers are displayed on the right of the screen on the results page. Either type in “The Sims 2” in the search bar on the main page, or click on the following link to continue.

On this page, click on the “DOWNLOAD THIS TORRENT” link to download the torrent. If you wish, save the torrent somewhere in case you need to redownload the game. This download should only take you a second This page also displays user information on the file and user comments on the bottom of the page. This is useful to determine if a torrent is legitimate or to determine if other users are having issues with the download.
B. Open the Torrent and begin game download i. ii.
Open the Torrent file.
When Vuze opens, click on the link that says “Advanced”.
This link can be found on the upper righthand side Vuze. This window is meant for advanced users, but it is generally easier to monitor the downloads here. This window displays your Upload speeds, download speeds and how many people are connected to the download

iii. Monitor and wait till the Download is
Complete
Download speeds vary between connections. This download is fairly large, and may take a long time to complete. Completion may take several hours, days, even weeks depending on connection speeds.

C. Complete Download and extract Game Files
Once the Download is complete, go to your folder called “My Documents”.

Open the folder called “Azureus Downloads”.
iii. In this folder, there is yet another folder
named after the download you just completed.
If you have been following this Manual, the folder is called “THE SIMS 2 COMPLETE COLLECTION patched and cracked plus BONUS CONTENT!”

iv. Open any of the files within this folder. This
should in turn open Winrar (Or whatever program you have). Once Winrar is open, a folder with the download name will be displayed. Inside the folder are the necessary game installation files and programs>

a button called “Extract to…” Use this button to extract the files to a folder.
vi. On the top left corner of the Winrar program is

Suggested places to extract folder are either the desktop or directly in the “My Documents” Folder

III. Installation of extra Programs and Game Files

Install Program Daemon Tools
Daemon Tools is a program that essentially creates extra CD-ROM drives. Instead of having to burn the files to create an installation CD, you can upload the CD image to this program and it acts as if a virtual CD is in your virtual CD Drive.
Refer to the “Installation Instructions” regarding which of the two installers is right for your system. In most cases it is “x64”

iii. Run Program “EA Games Keygen”
This program gives you CD-Keys to whatever EA game you can chose within the program. This will enable you to install the program.

B. Install the Main Game “The Sims 2” i. ii.
Run Daemon Tools
Next to your clock on your computer, you will see a red shape with a lightning shape going
through it. This is the Daemon Tools icon. RightClick it.
iii. Click on “Virtual CD/DVD-ROM”. iv. Go to “Set number of devices…” then select
1. You can chose more, but you only need one to install the game. Right-Click the icon again and go to “Virtual CD/DVD-ROM” again. Click on the device and then click on “Mount Image” A window pops up that tells you to locate a new image file. Locate the game folder which was extracted before and go the subfolder called “1. The Sims 2” Within this folder is a file named “The Sims 2 DVD”. Mount this image and now the game will prompt you to install the game. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the game.

Since this game requires a CD, you will have to keep the image mounted with Daemon tools. You can alternatively locate a “No-CD Crack” online for this game and never need to mount the virtual CD.

You may now stop with the Manual if this is all you wish to install. Please continue if you want to install extra content.

C. Installation of Game Expansions and Extra
Content
Installation of the Game expansions is very similar to the installation process of the original game. For minor differences in installation, please refer to the Installation guide included in the download.

iii. Certain expansions require the use of a no CD
crack to run the game. The no CD crack is also included in the folder of the specific expansion.
You will only need to do this for the last expansion you install.

Open your game folder
Inside is a file called “Sims2EP(and some number)”. Copy this file

Open “My Computer”,
Go to your hard-drive (“C:” for most people) Go to “Program Files” Click on “EA Games”
Then click on the folder with the name of the last expansion you installed.

Inside Click on a folder called “TSBin” Paste the “Sims2EP(#)” in this folder.
When it asks to override original folder, click yes.

Your game now works with no CD.
