People, Places, Events, Movements, Documents
IDs
Who: (people only)—group, person, who was impacted (only if the name is already in the ID) What: occupation of person, document, event (this is what happened not why significant), or movement itself When: date when it occurred Beginning to Greece within 500 years I give lots of leeway in the beginning, but as we get closer to the present Greece to Middle Ages within 50 years I become stricter on being accurate with the dates. (It also becomes easier.) After Middle Ages within 5 years Where: Where it happened, where lived, simply giving a continent or a region may not be specific enough EX: Ramses II—Egypt Leonardo daVinci—Florence, Italy Why (do I care?): What is the significance (Why is this important?) EX: Ramses II—had 99 children, built monuments to himself all over Egypt, conquered Nubia (N. Sudan), expanded the Egyptian Kingdom to its greatest height and forged the first known treaty with the Hittites. ***All of this info. is correct, but to receive full credit, you must have put one of the bolded pieces of info.
