WYSIWYG Console Edition (CE) is a restricted version of WYSIWYG Perform
Unlimited, intended for distribution with a specific console or family of consoles.
WYSIWYG CE enables console manufacturers who are RWD’s to provide an
easy-to-implement and low-cost visualization solution for their consoles. It is an
entry-level visualization solution that can be upgraded to (full) WYSIWYG
Perform Unlimited at any time.
Here is some additional information about WYSIWYG CE:
Intended to be bundled with your console at no additional cost to the user,
it is delivered as a box product, complete with CD and dongle. The user
manual and quick-start tutorials are available on the CD.
The software is branded with the console manufacturer’s logo(s).
The console manufacturer will provide first-line connectivity support, and
Cast Software will provide second-line WYSIWYG support. Once the user
has upgraded to WYSIWYG Perform Unlimited, all support is transferred
to Cast Software.
The WYSIWYG CE is dongle- and DMX Encryption-protected. (Note that a
dongle assigned to one manufacturer will not allow another manufacturer’s
WYSIWYG CE to run).
The drivers that provide connectivity between the console and WYSIWYG
CE remain the same even if the user has upgraded to Perform Unlimited.
These drivers can also become AutoFocus and AutoPatch capable.
WYSIWYG CE includes all the features of WYSIWYG Perform Unlimited, with
the following limitations:
Provides visualization only while connected to the specific manufacturer’s
console (i.e., cannot connect to other consoles).
Printing is disabled.*
Exporting to other file formats is disabled.*
Rendering is limited to 76,800 pixels – the typical resolution of 320x240

It is delivered with the WYSIWYG Release that is current at the time of
registration. WYSIWYG updates do not apply to CE; to receive updates,
the user must upgrade to Perform Unlimited.
