Malawi Orphanage Project December 2009 Hello beloved, we appreciate the support you are rendering to us and we are glad to tell you our current situation here in Malawi. Any type of support has been really a blessing to our family and the church. We thank God always for you. We know that God connected us to you for a divine purpose. We are grateful to assure you that you are a blessing to us as a family and the church. It is our prayer that God should keep you long here on earth for all the good work you are doing even to many different people. Several things are happening here in Malawi and some of the things are shown below. Orphanage Project is now about to begin. Bricks have now been burnt and we only need bags of Cement to begin the building project. We were advised to follow the plan of the City Assembly of which they encourage to use burnt bricks when building a permanent building. Failing to follow their plan they demolish every building which is built contrary to their plan. This delayed our project despite the financial problem. We need support for the Orphanage as we are about to start the building project. This will make a very strong building which can even stand the test of strong wind. Below are the bricks we have successfully burnt now ready for the building project and the foundation which is now in progress. We strongly apologize for the delay in sending you the report. Due to some other challenges we were destructed from what we were doing. Apostle Stewart and his wife Lenata continues to support the aged and orphans. At this moment they are not able to support more orphans due to financial challenge. They provide spiritual and financial support to the following at the moment. This is Miss Masuso with her 3 grand children who all lost their parents due to HIV and Aids. She has run away from the village due to hunger problem. It is now Apostle Stewart and his wife Lenata who support her with house rent and food. The above is their house where they live. The lady is too old to work as a result she lives by the support she is been given. This lady has 2 children and has been dumped by her husband who has married another wife. Before the husband left her he severely beat her. He nearly killed her. By the grace of God she got cured and is now living a lone and has been taught how to do business by Apostle Stewart and Lenata. She needs more Capital so she can progress in her business. Lenata keeps on providing spiritual and material support to widows and needy kids. They need to feel loved and see that some body cares for them. Lenata is in red browse. This is the area where they want to start building an orphanage. The project is expected to begin this December. This lady has been badly abused by her husband such that she has been beaten several times with her little boy. Her husband left her a year ago. She always needs support for her living. She is one of the women who have been trained in tailoring so she can be able to make clothes and sell. She now needs a capital to start doing her own business of making and selling clothes. The Family of Apostle Stewart and Lenata Chawinga. . As we are struggling to feed our own 5 children shown on the above picture, demand keeps on increasing for support for orphans. The family keeps on increasing. 2 more boys have joined the family and at the same time one girl has been selected to go to African Bible College where her school fees are beyond what this family can afford. This girl by the name chisomo has led Stewart and Lenata to fall into debts. As food and accommodation becomes a challenge, Chisomo stands to be another brain boggling challenge. We most of the times sleep with hunger. Our small children most of the times cry with hunger. We are really facing it of which other people do not understand. We thank the Lord for all of you who support us. We really appreciate. We are still asking well-wishers to be supporting us. Our expenditure has been seen to be more than $1000 monthly including school fees for all these children. Another time we are tempted to send these kids away but they have no-where to go since most of them are related to us in one way or the other. People who could support us fail to do so because of the size of the family. Especially in the situation that it is only my wife lenata who is working. We really need a big support for us to get out of debts. For my wife to go to work, there is now no any direct way for her to use a public transport. We solely depend upon our car as a means of transport. Unfortunately the car is now broken down and the challenge seems to confuse us the more. If it were to be a walk able distance, she would be walking to and from daily but she can not manage. A car is really a basic need to us and we are asking for any donation towards buying a good cheap car. In Malawi there are many good cars which are in the range of $3500-$4000. It is a must that my wife has to go to work since she contributes more in our family. The church is currently full of people and we are planning to start building a 1000 capacity Hall next year since the room where we are praying is small. We ask well- wishers to support this project which will glorify God. Sinners are daily coming to the Lord. We ask you our supporters to visit us. We are having daily prayers which help us to have daily converts. Daily believers are added to the church. We thank God for the grace of God. We ask you to continue praying for us. The above 2 photos are for Chisomo Kamwendo who is at African Bible College. Due to the delays in paying for her fees, she has been denied the boarding room at the college. She now operates from home. She boards 2 buses when going and 2 again when coming from her college. Every day we need to give her money for her transport which is very expensive for us. She sometimes fails to go and attend classes due to transport problem. School fees are about $2000 per annum. Despite the fees and transport, there are also several minor needs which at the end cost us more money. We are asking well-wishers to really help us either paying for her school fees or making any contribution towards her needs. This is the land where our women wanted to buy so they can be cultivating maize crops in it. Since we had not finalized the payment, the owner has also sold it to somebody who seemed to have enough cash as a result we are denied to use this land for cultivation of food crops. Women are trying to identify another land for rent. Below is the foundation of the orphanage. We are now looking for support for buying bags of cement. These three little girls are now sent to school and are fully supported by the church and Chawinga’s family. Shortly the women are sending you the report about the progress of tailoring with the Sewing Machine.
