Jump Start Art
Ages: 18-28 Months, Days: Mondays, Time: 9:30am-10:15am
Cost: $75 (8 weeks/ 45 minute classes)
Simple hands-on activities include traditional art centers such as drawing, painting and
collage, mixed with activities incorporating books, music, science, and dramatic play. This
class is designed for child and parent.


Preschool Art
Ages: 2-5 Years, Days/Times:
Mondays, 11:00am-12:00pm;
Tuesdays, 10:30am-11:30am;
or Thursdays, 10:45am-
11:45am
Cost: $80 (8 weeks/ 60 minute
classes)
A beginning series mixing simple
instruction with a wide variety of
hands-on activities such as draw-
ing, painting, collage, sculpting
and constructing to explore weekly
and session themes. This class is
designed for child and parent.


Music & More
Ages: 18 Months– 4 Years
Days/Times: Mondays, 10:20am-10:50am or Thursdays, 10:10am-10:40am
Cost: $60 (8 weeks/ 30 minute classes)
An interactive sing-a-long using rhythm instruments, musical games and creative dramat-
ics to teach basic musical concepts. Note: These classes are designed so that registrants
ages 2-5 can register for and attend Preschool Art immediately following.


Drop-In Art
Ages: 2-12 Years, Days/Times: Thursdays, 3:00pm-5:00pm or Fridays,
10:00am-12:00pm
Cost: $8 per hour or purchase a 10 visit drop-in punch card for $70. Explore, discover
and create! Open-ended art activities will be set up and ready. Come for an hour… or stay
for two! Children 5 years of age and under must be accompanied by a parent.


Create-A-Class!
Ages: All Ages
Gather at least five of your friends; tell us what you’d like to do, when you’d like to do it
and for how long. You can choose from drawing, painting, construction and many other

Creating Fantasy Art
Ages: 8-11 Years
Days: Mondays
Time: 4:15pm-5:30pm
Cost: $90 (8 weeks/ 75 minute
classes)
Children will reach deeply and freely into
their wild and whimsical imaginations using
a variety of mediums. They will learn to illus-
trate fantasy creatures and characters like
gargoyles, dragons, mermaids, unicorns,
wizards, and more! Each child will take
home a beautiful collection of Fantasy Art in
a handmade artist’s journal.



Clay Works
Ages: 5-9 Years, Days: Mondays, Time: 4:15pm-5:30pm
Cost: $95 (8 weeks/ 75 minute classes)
Discover the amazing things that can be created with a simple lump of clay. Children will
learn hand-building techniques including making slabs and coils. Learn how to use tools
and molds as well as several different modeling mediums such as Model Magic and
Sculpee.


Drawing Basics
Ages: 5-9 Years, Days: Mondays, Time: 4:15pm-5:30pm
Cost: $90 (8 weeks/ 75 minute classes)
Learn to incorporate techniques used by famous artists into your drawing! This fun class
teaches students to draw with lines, shapes and colors. You’ll be amazed by the many
things you can use to draw including oil pastels, charcoal pencils, glues, watercolors and
even scissors.


Kids N’ Clay
Ages: 8-11 Years, Days: Tuesdays, Time: 4:15pm-5:30pm
Cost: $95 (8 weeks/ 75 minute classes)
Learn about 3-D building, slab construction and glazing. Get creative in the clay studio!
Includes some advanced instruction for experienced students.


She’s An American Girl!
Ages: 5-9 Years, Days: Tuesdays, Time: 4:15pm-5:30pm
Cost: $90 (8 weeks/ 75 minute classes)
Participants will bring their favorite doll to class and together be outfitted for that special
occasion. Each week will be a different theme. Girls will learn how to make clothes and
accessories to fit their dolls and themselves!

Academy of Wizards and Witches
Ages: 8-11 Years, Days: Tuesdays Time: 4:15pm-5:30pm
Cost: $90 (8 weeks/ 75 minute classes)
Harry Potter enthusiasts will love this class! Take a train, fly a broom or hitch a ride on a
favorite imaginary creature to our “school of magic.” Learn the arts of making potions and
casting spells. Join us for an enchanting class of art and play!


Cool Age Décor
Ages: 7-11 Years
Days: Wednesdays
Time: 4:15pm-5:30pm
Cost: $90 (8 weeks/75 minute classes)
This class offers a cool way to create 3-D houses, design interiors, make collages and
more! Add glamour by making bulletin boards, picture frames and other fun home décor.
Other cool projects will include making story boxes and cute gifts for family and friends!


Stinky Cheese Man and other Fairy Tales
Ages: 8-11 Years, Days: Wednesdays, Time: 4:15pm-5:30pm
Cost: $90 (8 weeks/ 75 minute classes)
This is the silliest class around based on the book by Jon Scieszka. We’ll have goofy
activities, silly science and side-splitting fun. This class will feature stories such as “The
Princess and the Bowling Ball” and “Jack’s Bean Problem”.


At Home with Art
Ages: 6-11 Years, Days: Wednesdays, Time: 12:45pm-2:00pm
Cost: $90 (8 weeks/ 75 minute classes)
Discover art while exploring artists and their techniques! This class is designed for
homeschool families. Students will “visit” many amazing cities around the world and ex-
plore the art found there.

Unless otherwise noted, 6-week teen class fees are $110 and 6-week adult class fees are
$180. Note: Teens are welcome in some adult classes.



Basic Ceramics for Teens
Days: Wednesdays
Time: 4:30pm-6:00pm
This course offers a mix of ceramics techniques. Stu-
dents will learn the basics of throwing pots on the
wheel as well as handbuilding techniques from an ex-
perienced potter and instructor with lots of fun ideas
to share!

Advanced Ceramics
Days: Mondays, Time: 6:30pm-9:00pm
Cost: $105 Members/ $115 Non-Members
Students who have progressed through levels of ceramics instruction convene in this year-
round class to further develop their own unique ceramics style.

Handbuilding Ceramics
Days: Mondays, Time: 6:30pm-9:00pm
Beginning artists and advanced clay crafters alike will use various clay handbuilding
techniques. Designed for all skill levels, this course teaches how to use coil, pinch and slab
methods to make functional and sculptural ceramic forms such as bowls, platters, tiles,
boxes and more.

Introduction to Pottery (Wheel)
Days/Times: Tuesdays, 9:30am-12:00pm or Thursdays, 6:30pm-9:00pm
This beginner class is designed to teach the basic methods and techniques of making pot-
tery on a wheel through demonstrations, hands-on exercises and plenty of individual in-
struction. Tool kit may be purchased for an additional $20.

Figural Ceramics
Days/Times: Tuesdays, 10:00am-12:30pm or Saturdays, 10:00am-12:30pm
Become aware of realism in the human figure. Learn the art of scanning to create lifelike
three-dimensional sculpture from two-dimensional drawings or photographs. For interme-
diate to advanced students 16 and older.

Beginner and Intermediate Ceramics (Wheel)
Days/Times: Tuesdays, 6:30pm-9:00pm or
Wednesdays, 1:00pm-3:30pm
Class instruction will be based on each student’s ability.
Both basic techniques and intermediate teaching will be
taught in this hands-on class to develop throwing and
glazing skills. Tool kit may be purchased for an addi-

Intermediate Ceramics (Wheel)
Days: Thursdays, Time: 9:30am-12:00pm
Class instruction will be based on each student’s ability. On-going techniques for those
students who have completed a basic introduction course and wish to continue to chal-
lenge their skills.

Multi Medium Painting– Watercolor, Oil, Pastels
Days: Mondays, Time: 1:00pm-3:30pm
The goal of this class is to increase observation skills, with a strong emphasis on accurate
drawing, determination and proper depiction of values and color temperature decisions.
At the end of this session, we will experiment with using spots of varying sizes and hues
of color to construct images.

Introduction to Oil Painting
Days: Thursdays, Time: 6:30pm-9:00pm
Learn how to apply paints to the palette, prepare and tone the canvas, and understand
values, mixing colors and perspective. Explore what makes a good composition and paint
in several stages to complete works of art. Individual attention will be given to each stu-
dent at his/her level of ability. The instructor will provide a list of materials for the class.

Continuing Oil Painting Class
Days: Tuesdays, Time: 10:00am-12:30pm
For those who have taken an Introduction to Oil Painting class and would like to move on
to the next level or those with experience in oils. All skill levels are welcome. The instruc-
tor will provide a list of needed materials.

Soul Painting
Days: Fridays, Time: 6:00pm-7:30pm
This instructor-facilitated painting class is for women of divorce or loss of relation-
ship. Paint from the soul and take an inward journey, transforming experiences into op-
portunity of growth and empowerment. A variety of mediums will be introduced. No art
experience necessary. Ages 18 and older.
Life Drawing (Studio Session) Drop In
Days: Mondays, Time: 6:00pm-9:00pm
This weekly drop-in session offers artists of all skills the opportunity to draw or paint in a
studio environment with live models. Participants will develop awareness and skill to inter-
pret the subtleties of the human figure. No instructor. Adults Only. Fee $10 per visit.

Watercolor
Days/Times: Wednesdays, 10:00am-1:00pm or Thursdays, 6:30pm-9:00pm
Learn the values of colors, using wet-on-wet and wet brush on dry paper. All levels are
welcome. Materials are not included and may be purchased from the instructor for $55.

Beginning Printmaking
Days: Wednesdays, Time: 6:30pm-9:00pm
Learn the art of printmaking using a Sturges etching press. Students will explore drypoint
on plexiglass techniques, monoprint and solar plate etching. Students in this course have
the added benefit of access to the etching press during additional open studio hours.

Mixed Media and Printmaking
Days: Thursdays, Time:10:00am-1:00pm
In this combination class, students will learn to draw with various mediums, including
pencil, pastel, watercolor crayons, oil painting, acrylics and ink. A printing session will
introduce another medium. Students will be able to use the medium of their choice to
their advantage.

Abstract Painting
Days: Mondays, Time: 9:30am-12:00pm
The focus of this class is on unleashing one’s creativity. Abstract painting encourages the
student to try out colors, moods, and brushstrokes; to play with shapes and turn those
doodles into works of art. Beginner and intermediate levels are welcome. The instructors
will provide a list of materials for the class.

Drawing
Days: Tuesdays, Time: 4:30pm-6:00pm
This hands-on class will focus on the fundamentals of drawing with tailored instruction to
strengthen the student's individual skill set. Students will focus on the fundamentals of
“seeing.” By the end of this class students will be able to draw what they see both
accurately and beautifully!
