Bamboo 4 U? Bamboo Rod Making Tips and Techniques with master rodmaker, David Van Burgel will be
provided through out the show in the Cane Corner. You can ask David any question about bamboo rods or
how to make them… he will have all the answers.

Real Reel Questions will also be answered by the authority in all types of reels, contemporary and collectible
by Jim Schottenham and the Old Reel Collectors Association (ORCA). A fine reel collection will be on
display.

Whatizit??? If it is fishing tackle, bring it in and Jerry Girard will give you history and insurance value to
that attic treasure. Rods, reels, flies, catalogs, paintings, lines, leaders…what have you…bring it in.

Fly Fishing Book Exchange. The CFFCM will have a ‘Book Exchange” area set up to display used books
for sale. The process is simple: ‘book sellers’ are required to put their selling price and initials on the top
right hand corner. This Book Exchange has been designed to give attendees the opportunity to sell their old
and used outdoor sporting books or pick up some to fill their library.

12:00 Noon Meet Keith Fulsher at the CFFCM tables for a preview of his new book: Atlantic Salmon
Flytyer A Memoir. Keith share's his most memorable fishing trips, some advice on Atlantic Salmon fishing,
history, clear and explicit step by step tying instruction, and over 40 of his favorite patterns never released
until now. This new book is currently in production and will soon be available. The First Printing is limited
to 250 copies. Order now and we will ship upon arrival at no additional charge. This 8 x 10 large format hard

9:30 AM Reading Water with Dave Brandt. How to find fish and make them bite. Dave will share with you
the secrets to finding fish… if they are there. Why fritter away your fishing time exploring every inch of
water? There are ways to approach a specific type of water and know just where the fish are. Don’t waste
another minute wondering where the fish are, simply pick up some pointers and find them.

10:30 AM Creative Fly Tying with ‘Fishy’. Everyone knows Fishy from his many Appearances at fly shows,
speaking engagements, and his Creative Fly Tying column in Fly Tyer Magazine. He does it all with
whatever is available. Now you can see first hand what he is currently up to. Jay ‘Fishy ‘Fullum has put
together a fine power point presentation that brings you onto his side of the vise. The magic he does with the
most unusual materials will amaze you and open the door to another dimension in fly tying. (Fishy pinches
in for previously scheduled program with Jerry Stercho who is recovering from emergency surgery.)

11:30 AM Working With Wulff’s This program change will feature David Brandt sharing his knowledge
and experiences working as a casting instructor for the Wulff Fly Fishing School

12:30 PM Lake Ontario Tributaries in the Salmon River Corridor
with Fran Verdoliva. Absolutely no one knows more about the Salmon River and the species it holds than
Fran Verdoliva. Pioneer fly fisher for salmon and steelhead and now the Salmon River Program Coordinator,
Fran will bring you up to speed on the fish and the fishing on the Salmon River, yesterday, today, and
tomorrow.
1:30 PM Effective Simple Dry Flies with Harold Williams.
Harold B. Williams knows his way around a vise, how to handle materials and turn them into deadly
patterns. This session is an informative session for any tyer trying to produce simple patterns to produce on
the water. There will be no re inventing the wheel here, just some solid basics for the box.

2:30 PM Refinish or not to refinish …Bamboo Rods. Bamboo Mike Longuil will give you all the answers
you have on whether or not to refinish an old bamboo rod, selecting a used bamboo rod, rediscovering the
beauty and careful choices in refinishing. This guy knows it all and he will tell you that. He will also tell you
how to identify that diamond in the rough.

3:30 PM Beginning in the Salt. John Klemm, Jr. will tell you what you need to know before venturing out
into unknown saltwaters. The equipment, when to go, what flies to use, and what to expect. Making the
transition from fresh water to saltwater is not as difficult as it may seem. This fine session will clear up any
questions on how to enter the saltwater and succeed.

5:30-7:00 PM Stay around and have a sumptuous buffet dinner in the Danbury Plaza Hotel center court
restaurant before the live auction;

7:00 PM Live Auction Just outside the Show Ballroom in the assembly area.

12:00 Noon Made in Labrador, 20+ years at Minipi Dave Brandt is back with a presentation that will make
any brook trout fisherman sit up and take notice. Huge, colorful, and mighty brook trout at 8 lbs that take tiny
trout flies readily as if they were candy. The only thing is that it has to be the flavor of the day. This
magnificent presentation will take you to Minipi Lakes to discover a wilderness as beautiful as the fish. If

1:00 PM Selecting a Used Bamboo Rod with Bamboo Mike Longuil. Take the Frustration out of seeking the
right used bamboo rod for you. Mike will take you through the process of what to look for and why in
choosing a bamboo fly rod. Not every rod is for every fisherman. A ‘hands on’ program on action, cosmetics,
and utility.
