          The following instructions are important to understand the individual calculation. Read them first, than step a
          of this sheet to start your calculation!

          The limits of a Truss-system
          Each Truss-System has its own limits. 2 Parameters are verry important:
          - shear forces (V), that stress the braces, their weldings, their buckling-attitude, their heat influenced zones
          - bending moments (M), that stress the maintubes and all parts of a connection

          Also local stresses can be limiting smal areas, so the maximum point-pressure on each main tube is considered.
                                                     A simulation on a surface of 40mm x 3mm is the basic for the declared valu
                                                     Much higher loads are possible if you use round surfaced couplers!




          The thickness of the maintubes´wall is the limiting parameter. If you choose a higher load than the possible
          point-pressure the "knot numbers" will remind you: "high pressure" - use round surfaced couplers!




          The individual calculation determins the shear force and the bending moments and compares them to the
          permissible values of the truss system.
          If your loadcase creates more than permissible values for Vz,My - the programm gives you a warning:

The input
You can create an individual loadcase with 2 supports.
The koordinate of each load and of the position of the supports is defined by you.
First fill in the whole length of the (beam) truss, than klick "Start - distribute knots"
Than put your loads on the relevant knots. And mark supported knots with a "y" (yes).

You also can fill in a position x manual, if your load is between
the proposed knots. Important: your manually filled in position must fit between the
adjacent knot-positions. This operation causes a smal deviation of the results for the bendingmoment.
The absolut error in this case is smaler than 5%.

You also can put on a global distributed load. The selfweight is always considered by the programm.

FD34 is not the right system for this loadcase - overload!
The limits are displayed by the red lines in the diagram.
You can check the results at every position by moving the curser to the curve.
In the upper sqares you receive the decisive values for your loadcase. The "min" and "max" should never exceed the
permissibe values of your system! In this example the bendingmoment is much to high for FD34.


Now we click on the "system change button" on top of the page and choose "ST"




The ST-Truss is capable for high loads and is only stressed with a lower utilisation.

You will also be informed abaut the reactions of the system on the support. This helps you to
choose the right shakles, spansets, steels and hoists.
