POOL RULES AND REGULATIONS 1. Lifeguard has authority over all activities in and around the pool. Lifeguard has authority to use discretion to remove any individual’s access to the pool for the length deemed necessary for inappropriate behavior, foul language, and failure to obey rules. American Pool Service of Georgia, (770) 638-1665, will use a Disciplinary Action Form, which is copied to Ian Lundberg, Pool Committee Chairman and Tammy Johnston, Pool Board Representative. If this form is written, the offender will be sent home for the remainder of the day. Two-time offenders may be banned until a parent returns to the pool to confer with the lifeguard and assures proper behavior. Threetime offenders and unruly behavior beyond this will be referred to the Board for disciplinary action. NON-COMPLIANCE WILL BE COUNTED AS NEXT OFFENSE; THREATS WILL BE REFERRED TO THE POLICE. Children under age 10 must pass a swim test to be allowed in pool area without an adult. Children under age 7 must be accompanied by an adult or person 14 years or older at all times unless this child passed a lifeguard swim test. No one is to enter the pool unless a lifeguard is on duty. No glass containers are allowed in the pool area. Swimwear must be worn in the pool. No cut-offs or inappropriate attire will be permitted. No running, pushing or rough play. We do not allow water guns or any other unauthorized athletic equipment (including roller blades, skateboards and bicycles) to be used in the pool area. Flotation devices approved by the lifeguard will be allowed in the pool. The lifeguard reserves the right to call for flotation devices to be out of the pool at any time. All infants must wear approved swim diapers while in the pool. No swimming if lightning or thunder are threatening. The Association accepts no responsibility for valuables. No pets or animals allowed in the pool area. Bathing load – 180 All residents and guests must shower before entering pool. NO SMOKING within the wrought iron fence. The pool will be closed for 24 hours should anyone vomit or defecate in the pool.

GENERAL INFORMATION The pool phone number is (770) 552-7418. Please remember this is a pay phone that is there primarily for lifeguard communications and emergencies. Social conversations are best saved for home or cell phones. Please limit conversations to 2 minutes, as call waiting is not available. On rainy days, a lifeguard will remain at the pool until 6 P.M. If the weather is still unsuitable for swimming, the pool will be closed for the remainder of the day. Food and Drinks are allowed in the pool area as long as the consumer cleans up after him/herself and guests after the meal/snack is concluded. Repeated littering and noncompliance will result in denying eating/drinking privileges in the entire pool area. The lifeguard has this discretion. POOL PARTIES AND ACTIVITIES During regular operating hours, all private pool parties when 10 or more guests (nonAssociation members) are invited must be cleared with American Pool Service (770638-1665) at least one week prior to the date of the party (do not call the neighborhood representatives). Parties with 15 or more guests may require an extra guard to be booked, depending on the judgement of American Pool Service. This will depend on the day of the party (weekday, weekend, holiday). If it is determined that an additional guard is necessary, the Association member will pay American Pool Service $18.00/hour for each additional lifeguard necessary, with a minimum of $30.00/event. The pool will not be closed for a private party during regular pool hours.
Pool parties with 9 or fewer guest do not need to be cleared by American Pool Service management, but it is requested that the Association Member hosting such party give American Pool Service at least 4 days advance notice. An additional lifeguard is required for all parties where alcohol is served. During all private parties, all children 8 and under must be supervised by an adult. Teenage and college age parties must have at least one adult chaperone for each 15 people at the party. After hours pool parties are permitted as long as reasonable noise levels are maintained. Cut off times for parties are midnight on weekends and holidays and 10:00 PM on weekdays. Parties outside of normal hours are permitted with the Association Member responsible for all payment of lifeguards, setup and cleanup. Weekend and holiday nights are defined as days preceding typical non-work days. (Friday nights, Saturday nights, Sunday night if followed by a holiday.)

CLUBHOUSE AND PAVILION RULES 1. Clubhouse and Pavilion maybe reserved by contacting Karen Fenster at (770) 518-7567, or cell (404) 610-7567. Clubhouse shall generally be reserved on a first come first serve basis. Also, no function may be held in the Pavilion area without clearing it through Karen. 2. Clubhouse may not be reserved on the following dates for individual parties: Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day or Halloween Day. 3. NO SMOKING inside Clubhouse. 4. Reserving Clubhouse/Pavilion does not include exclusive use of pool and pool area during common times, only of Clubhouse and Pavilion. Should pool be reserved after noncommon hours, approved lifeguard(s) must be on duty and paid for by homeowner. See Pool rules for lifeguard information. 5. Clubhouse, Pavilion and grounds must be left clean, with all food and trash removed. See separate Check Out List in Clubhouse. 6. All lights, grill, ovens, etc. must be turned off. If outside grill is used, it must be cleaned. Do not put grill cover back on until grill has completely cooled. 7. Certain items in kitchen and Clubhouse (i.e. paper products, trash bags, etc.) are not for general consumption. Please bring your own supplies and remove any left-over items. 8. Reasonable noise level must be maintained at all times. 9. Weekend and holiday nights are defined as days preceding typical non-work days. (Friday nights, Saturday nights, Sunday night if followed by a holiday.) 10. Cut off times for outside entertainment/music from the pool area are midnight on weekends and holidays and 10:00 PM on weekdays. There are no cut off times for parties/meetings held only inside the Clubhouse. Remember, reasonable noise levels must be maintained. 11. Clubhouse key may be picked up no more than 24 hours prior to reserved period. At time of pickup, homeowner will receive a copy of Clubhouse rules and must sign it and leave a $150 refundable security deposit. Key must be returned within 24 hours. Should key not be returned in a timely manner, homeowner will be liable for cost of re-keying locks. 12. At time of key pickup, homeowner may request a walk-through of the Clubhouse and Pavilion to note any existing problems or damage so that they may not be held responsible.
13. Extra tables are stored in the storage room (at the tennis court end of pump house, inside

pool area) to accommodate your functions. Please note that these tables must be taken down and returned after use. Please do not leave them in the on the Pavilion as they may be destroyed by the weather. Replacement value of any damaged tables will be deducted from your security deposit. BASKETBALL RULES In order to reduce and hopefully eliminate use of the basketball court by non-residents, including the damage caused by non-resident use, and to minimize abuse of the equipment by residents and their guests, the following rules are established concerning use of the Waterford Green Basketball court: 1. Play is limited to members and their guests. 2. Profanity or obnoxious behavior is not permitted. Violators will be reported to the Board of Directors who will take appropriate disciplinary action. 3. Slam dunking or hanging on the rim or the net is prohibited. Homeowners will be held accountable for any damage caused by themselves or their guests. 4. No smoking in or around the basketball court.
TENNIS COURT RULES 1. Appropriate attire must be worn on the courts at all times: A. No swimming suits B. Only tennis shoes may be worn while on the courts 2. No activity other than tennis is permitted on the courts. 3. Children not playing tennis are not allowed inside the courts while the courts are in use. 4. All guest players must be accompanied by a resident of Waterford Green (“Member”) while using the courts. 5. Members may use the tennis courts only between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. 6. Court lights must be turned off by 10:00 p.m., or no later than 11:00 p.m. for sanctioned USTA, ALTA or T2 matches. 7. No glass containers are allowed on the courts.

COURT RESERVATIONS - INDIVIDUALS 1. Sign-up sheets are adjacent to the courts. Players must reserve a playing time before entering the courts. Players playing tennis without reserved court time must yield the court when another Member has reserved that time. 2. Courts can be reserved no more than TWO DAYS in advance of play, and sign-up may be made no earlier than 6:00 a.m. each day. EXAMPLE: On a Thursday morning, a Member may sign up for Saturday play. No Member (this includes Members of the same household) may reserve a court more than twice in one day, and never concurrent times. A court may be reserved consecutively for a maximum of two one-hour lessons for two different individuals, even if from the same household. 3. Members reserving court time more than two days in advance of play WILL HAVE THEIR NAME ERASED from the sign-up sheet by any Member of the tennis committee; such Member will be notified of their error. 4. Members will lose their court reservation if they are not on the court ten minutes after their reserved starting time. 5. Court playing time for individuals shall be limited to one and one-half hours for singles play and two hours for doubles. 6. Court playing time is unlimited for unreserved hours and no one else is waiting to play. COURT RESERVATIONS - TEAMS 1. A sign must be posted at both entrances to the neighborhood and on the tennis board by the courts, notifying the homeowners of tennis team formation and play. A minimum of two weeks notice must be given to provide residents the opportunity to sign up for a team prior to roster deadline. 2. A notice of team formation is to be published in the Waterford Green Newsletter, if published prior to roster deadline. 3. At least one of a team’s captain or co-captain must be a Member. 4. Two thirds of all players on the adult teams must be Members. One-half of all players on the junior teams must be Members. 5. Teams with special player circumstances may request a waiver of Rule Four to the tennis committee. 6. No Member may be denied a place on a team if the Members applies within the two week period described in Rule One.

7. ALTA and USTA captains must present their team’s roster to the tennis committee for approval prior to submitting it to the ALTA or USTA office. 8. ALTA and USTA teams may reserve the courts for their matches, practices and lessons as soon as the dates and times are scheduled. If the courts are not reserved at least two days before a match, lesson or practice, and an individual Member signs up for the court on that day, then priority goes to the first reservation made by a Member. EXAMPLE: An ALTA match is scheduled for Saturday, but the team does not reserve the court(s) by the previous Thursday. An individual Member reserves a court on Thursday for that Saturday; then the individual Member shall have the right to use the court for the time reserved. 9. A junior team may sign up for a maximum of four hours of court time each week for lessons. An adult team may sign up for a maximum of five hours of court time for lessons. 10. Once a week, both courts may be reserved at the same time for one hour, or one court may be used for up to three consecutive hours, for lessons. Under no circumstances, other than sanctioned matches, may both courts be reserved concurrently.
LESSONS 1. Lessons may be scheduled under the COURT RESERVATIONS - INDIVIDUAL guidelines between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. 2. All reservations for lessons must be marked with an “L” as a courtesy to those who do not wish to play next to a lesson. Note: For purposes of these rules, “Member” means any resident of a Waterford Green household.
