                      Tenure-Track Faculty Positions in Meteorology

The Department of Meteorology at the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School is seeking applicants for tenure
track positions. Qualified candidates with a Ph.D. in Meteorology/Atmospheric Science or related
discipline and with a demonstrated record of atmospheric research and teaching at the graduate-level
are encouraged to apply. The department will consider exceptional candidates in all disciplines of
meteorology with special interest in numerical weather prediction, weather analysis and forecasting,
and physical meteorology including radar meteorology. Candidates are expected to be able to work
collaboratively with existing department faculty and staff members and also independently pursue
research support as principal investigator to cover a portion of their salary. The successful candidates’
research areas will complement and expand the department's existing research and teaching programs.
Salary will be commensurate with the experience.
