Recently there has been some interesting news with universities. The University of Southern California opend its doors on October 1880. This university has decided to allow females to attend along with males, and the current tuition is $15.00 per term. This University was founded by was founded by a Methodist horticulturist, an Irish Catholic pharmacist and a German Jewish banker. The university of Southern California, which some have started to call USC, is closely affiliated with the Methodist Church. The current enrollment is 53 students and a faculty of 10, however there are plans for the university to grow considerably over the next year. There is one little fact which may discourage someone from going to this particular university would be the strictness of the university president. All students are not able to leave the town in which the university is located without the consent of the university president. This shouldn't be too much of a problem, considering the roads leading to the university are not in very good shape anyway. This university looks rather promising to all who have the desire to join the university life. Many however will still decide to keep working hard in real jobs to better their familys.
