Australian National Institute of Accountants (NIA) is a practice with extensive
experience and deep understanding of the business environment composed of
professional bodies for accountants.
NIA provided by Member States until a certified public accountant professional level

◆ Australian Accounting Advanced Diploma + NIA MA (first stage) + years
accounting related work experience; or
◆ Australian accounting degree + years accounting related work experience; or

Australian professional accounting practice in the country (PNA)
◆ Australian Accounting Advanced Diploma + NIA Master (the first and second
phases) + completed senior members guide the work of the NIA experience project
(MEP); or
◆ Australia Master of Accounting degree + NIA (core courses) + completed senior
members guide the work of the NIA experience project (MEP)
CPA Australia's senior professional state (FPNA)
◆ valid for seven consecutive years with at least PNA recognition of professional
qualifications or membership of NIA + at least ten years of accounting related work
experience (including at least five years experience in senior positions); or
◆ hold other professional bodies approved by NIA, senior membership
Membership Upgrade

Australia's primary national accountants (ANIA) upgrade for the Australian
National Certified Public Accountant (MNIA):
◆ Higher Diploma in Accountancy with Australia or the NIA recognized equivalent
of the Australian Junior National Accountants (ANIA) + NIA acceptable accounting
professional accounting degree + years relevant work experience; or
◆ Higher Diploma in Accountancy with Australia or the NIA recognized equivalent
of the Australian Junior National Accountants (ANIA) + complete NIA Master (first
stage) + years accounting related work experience; or
◆ with Australian Accounting degree (or Master) degree of the Australian Junior
National Accountants (ANIA) + years accounting related work experience
Australian National Certified Public Accountants (MNIA) upgrade for the Australian
professional accounting practice in the country (PNA):

◆ Higher Diploma in Accountancy with Australia or the NIA recognized equivalent
of the Australian Junior National Accountants (ANIA) + NIA Master (the first and
second phases) + years experience of senior members guide the work of the (MEP);
or

NIA members are eligible to apply for other job / Licensing
