   Develop a strategy to maintain disparate architectures
    during transition
   Engage business users to educate on "short term gains"
    and long term savings
   Involve budget and planning units - this is not a short term
    project
   Plan to address technology upgrades along the way
   Provide focused training and communication in order to
    enable end users to adopt the change
   Be adaptable and flexible to changing circumstances
