Direct Deposit and Earning Statements for Employees
It recent communications, the College announced effective June 1, 2008 direct deposit of pay would be required
for all employees. Direct deposit is beneficial for employees and the College. Employees are guaranteed receipt
of pay on pay day by having their pay automatically deposited to the choice of financial institution(s) rather
than relying on delivery by the US Mail. The College benefit by more automated processing of employee’s pay
with less administrative effort associated with pay checks. Also, at this time earnings statements will no longer
be printed, but will be available on-line via Banner Self-Service.
Additionally, the College and SunTrust Bank have created a program that will facilitate establishing a bank
account, if needed, for the direct deposit of pay. Some of the features of the SunTrust program include:
No monthly maintenance fee, no matter what your balance is.
Unlimited free checks and free Visa Check Card.
Free internet banking with bill pay.
Unlimited transactions at any of the 1,600 SunTrust locations and 2,600 ATMs.
A personal savings account with no monthly maintenance fee or balance requirements.
Free travelers check, money orders and cashiers checks.
To assist employees with this transition, Information Technology and SunTrust Bank will be hosting several
informational sessions. The session will provide instructions on how to view and print pay stubs and other
employee information. Michele Smith from SunTrust will be available to answer questions about the SunTrust
at Work program. To register for a session, please visit the following web site:
